I googled "G.Skill RipjawsX F3-12800 DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24" and found this link:
http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-12800cl9d-8gbxl Those are only 4x4GB so what does your receipt say? |

Have you opened the case and verified there are 4 sticks?
If yes, have you taken one out and verified it is 8GB? |

You will also see this occasionally when the sticks SPD do not match.
OP, what is the part number(s?) of the memory Kit(s?) you have there? |

Your only option then is to contact Tech support and provide them your RAM model and details about the issue. Hopefully they will be able to provide you with a beta BIOS that will add compatibility for your RAM.

Yes, it also happens when there are only 2 installed.
BIOS-Update is... P1.00 ... and this is already installed. |

Does this also happen when only 2 are installed?
If so then check to see if there is a BIOS update for your board, often BIOS updates include compatibility with new RAM modules and capacities.

Hi,
thx Xaltar for your fast answer! In fact they are 4 exactly same RAMs, 8GB G.Skill... In the Main-Area they are shown as 4x 4GB

The question is, are all 4 modules being detected as 4gb or are 2 modules not showing up at all. In your BIOS you should be able to determine this by looking at the main tab and checking to see if all slots show as populated and what capacity the BIOS is detecting the RAM as.
I am assuming you are using 2 identical 16gb kits? If they are different models and speeds then it is possible one kit is not being detected due to disparity between the 2 kits. If they are the same models then try using only 2 modules and see if they are being detected as 16gb if so try the other pair and do the same. If both kits are being detected as 2x8gb then try reinstalling all 4 and clearing CMOS and see if that makes them detect correctly. If the modules are in fact only detected as 4gb then there is a compatibility issue with your RAM and your motherboard. If this is the case then submit a support ticket that includes the model numbers of your RAM and the issue you are having and Tech support should be able to help you either via a BIOS update or information as to why the kits are incompatible. Good luck

Hi,
i bought 2 days ago a new board with ne Processor, first time trying AMD after several years of Intel-CPUs... I own a 970 Fatal1ty Performance 3.1 in combination with FX8350 and 32GB RAM... thats what i thought! In fact, in the BIOS (and in my Win10) there is only shown 16GB of RAM My Settings: Board - 970 Fatal1ty Performance 3.1 CPU - FX8350 GPU - GTX770 RAM - 4x 8GB G.Skill RipjawsX F3-12800 DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24 The memory runs in Dual-Channel-Mode MPX-Profile 1.2 I´ve already installed the latest BIOS-Update (P1.00), but its still the same as it was before. What could i do now?
