It says ASRock don't recommend upgrading the BIOS to that version with my CPU so that caused worry. |

Answer = YES, new bios with boot with your 2600,
any bios with the word COMBO will boot from Ryzen 1000 to Ryzen 5000 cannot boot Athlon or unpopular cpu. |

I have an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU and an ASRock B450M Pro4 motherboard. I've upgrade the BIOS as far as I can with this CPU (v. 3.50).
I am thinking of upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700(G or X) so I think I need to upgrade the BIOS. My question is will the computer boot to the BIOS settings screen with the old CPU? 1. *I* want to upgrade the BIOS with the old CPU. 2. Take the computer in to a store to get the CPU upgraded. |
