Airflow is not a problem because i have a fan from the top, two from front and a couple of corsair fans for the dissipator. The problem is that the body of the dissipator is a little bulky and so the Ram cannot fit :\
I guess i will have to buy a slightly bigger case.

You're welcome. No, You'll need to run 1 DIMM slot per side. Your case is that tight? What of air flow then? Here are the memory configurations. ![]() Edited by wardog - 17 Dec 2016 at 4:14am |

Thank you for your answer!
![]() So theoretically if I run with just two sticks on one side the problem should disappear right? |

Most likely it is. Yes. The Motherboard Manual is chock full of interesting facts concerning your motherboard ![]() See pg22 Sec 2.5.1 http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Manual/X79%20Extreme6.pdf |

hy to everyone.
I have a Asrock X79 Extreme6 as a motherboard and I'm having since the beginning some problems with random crashesat seem to come from nowhere. I was wondering if it could be due to the fact that the ram (4 stcks of 4Gb HyperX Beast by Kingstone) was installed all on the 4 port on the right. I didn't find any info on where to put it and since my case is a little tight, this was the only available option. Could that be the cause of BSOD? ![]() |
