Got my Z370 Extreme 4 board today and saw the blue flashing light deal. I have my board plugged into an old case that has a broken USB front panel that I plugged into USB connector 1. Once I unplugged it from the mother board (broken anyway and stupid me still plugged it in) it started working. I guess these new boards can really detect a short or broken device very efficiently and very strictly. Side note: My previous board a Z77 Extreme4 ( I guess I love Asrock) had this very same broken USB front panel connector connected to my board and worked.

I'd suggest he RMA it as he seems to have a clock generator issue also, in another Thread.

Make sure you have the 8 pin CPU power connector attached to the board (upper left near the IO panel).
Check the compatibility list on your RAM's product page to make sure it is compatible with your board. Make sure your CPU is seated correctly and not aligned wrong. The system not powering up can be caused by no CPU being detected.

I'm sorry but we don't understand which lights are blinking. Where are those lights? If they are the small lights next to the network cable connections on the IO panel, that is normal and not a problem. |
