I was able to make it work, thanks. I just made pressure from one to the other until the lever closed by itself.

Have you followed up with what myself and parsec replied with? Have you verified that the mem Kit, whatever it is, is compatible? Use the below tools to find if in fact they are compatible memory for your motherboard. (Shot list. I'm sure there are more) http://www.gskill.com/en/configurator http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/advisor?cm_re=top-nav-_-flyout-memory-_-us-memory-advisor https://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/Options https://patriotmemory.com/memory-finder/ http://www.pny.com/support/memory-configurator |

If the end of the memory module comes out of the slot on the end that does not have a lever, then you did not have the memory module pushed fully into that end of the slot. The levers, whether or not there are one or two of them on a memory slot, should not be used to push the memory module into the slot. The lever is only there to make sure the memory module does not fall out of the slot. If you put the memory module into the slot, and push it into the slot correctly, the lever(s) will close/lock into place automatically. The memory module has a notch on both ends, that fits into a tab on the end of the slot, or into a tab on the lever. Put the memory module into the slot so the notch on the module fits into the tab on the end that does not have a lever. Most the the memory module should be in the slot after you do that, but you then use both of your thumbs to push the module into the slot. The board should be on a table when you do this, or if it is in the PC case already, put the PC case on the floor (on a rug or towel to protect the case) and push the module into the slot with your fingers or thumbs. |

Place the stick(s) in the aligning slot and press down evenly. You should hear two faint clicks as the module seats itself.
If it goes up you are not evenly pressing on the module. That is a "new' slot design that allows for graphic cards to come right up to the memory w/o the need to unlatch that side. |

Hi,
I tried to install a Ram modul as described in the Quick Installation Guide but the RAM Slot on the board is not as shown in the Installation Guide. In the Guide the slot looks the same at each end with a little lever that you can open and that clicks back if the module is put in.But on the board only one end has a lever the other end doesn´t. And when I put in the module it always goes up when the lever at the other side clicks. Sorry for my bad englisch I´m not a native speaker... |
