I have an Arctic Freezer 13 that I have used on a phenom II x4 955, Pentium G3258, Core i5 6600k and even an old Core 2 Duo. I have never had any issues with it and performance wise it has done a great job. The xtreme is even beefier. If you wanted to use it with an intel CPU, particularly socket 1151 I would caution you about it's size and weight but for AMD that shouldn't be an issue. I don't see you having any problems with it.
Arctic are a solid brand.
