I'm glad you guys were having this conversation, because it helped me realize it was time to throw in the towel on trying to get the Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB (4x8) kit I've been wrestling with to work.
I've got the Taichi X370 and that kit, and it started off solid enough. 3DMark worked, along with a few other stress tests and benchmarks - all green, all excellent. But not long into it, I started having real instability problems - OS would hard lock, POST sequence would get slow and reboot several times in a session, etc. I've pulled out everything except the basics and tried about a bajillion different combinations of modules and slots, using ASRock and others' recommendations, and all I can get out of it are D2 and 55 board codes (memory initialization, and MAYBE PCH initialization, based on my searching). Every once in a blue moon, after reseating, clearing, etc., it'd get back into the UEFI, where it'd insist my RAM (the one or two modules max I could get it to POST with) was DDR4-2133. I'm returning the kit to Amazon and am going to try the G.Skill FlareX 2x16 32GB kit. I'll let you guys know how/if system stability improves. Thanks for all the great links and info, though - I didn't expect this kind of info to be quite so hard to nail down. :( |

Wow! thanks Datonyb for the great help, I was about to give up on 32GB and get 16GB until the rams get more mature.

well i found the kit i mentioned in germany and a bit cheaper than the slower kit you found
http://www.warehouse2.de/de/arbeitsspeicher/ddr4/ddr4-3000/32gb-ddr4-3200-kit-g-skill-f4-3200c14d-32gtz-trident-z the trouble your facing is 32gb is expensive relatively for any brand 32gb and add to that the speed puts quite a premium on top 2400/2666 is a lot cheaper here is the list of autherised gskill sellers in germany https://www.gskill.com/en/wheretobuy/list/de |

ive just checked on rymem website
(this is a database of actual users and there results) and this guys using these ram kits/sticks got 3200 cl14 with 32gb F4-3200C14-16GTZ (this is the software reported identity number of each stick) the actual kit should be labelled retail as f4-c3200cl14-32gtz validation link ......... http://valid.x86.fr/beqes1 https://rymem.vraith.com/detailed_ram/737 |

well to be fair none of us is brave enough to state for 100% sure fully compatable ram
allthough what we have learned is the most sucessful ram seems to be brands containing samsung dies/chips and of them the chips labelled samsung E dies you wont get these in 16 gb stick is seems, also to be certain of samsung b dies with gskill ram it seems you need to choose 3200mhz and faster and the timing/latency of cl15 or cl14 sounds confusing not really its because samsumg make the nicest chips for ram so the faster ram with lower latency tends to need samsung dies.... the model number of my ram is f4-c3200cl15-16gtz this is a 2 x 8gb set though so only 16 gb another guy near me also has exact same ram kit and shares the same if not better experiance with them if i were to offer my best advice that would be gskill tridentz ram or flarex or *GOOD* team group ram (overclockers uk has been having reliable results using these in there kits) |
