[Solved] Need Help

Well, thankfully I didn't go out and spend another 500.00 on a CPU I didn't need. I just got another motherboard (exact same model), installed it and my problems are gone. Of course it has to be everything else barring the motherboard... I mean really guys, I appreciate the attempt to help, but if helping in you guys opinion is wasting people's time and money, is it really helping in the first place? Not one of you mentioned anything about it possibly being the motherboard. I realize the hesitation and bias, but let's be real here. Motherboards, like any other component can fail, it doesn't mean you have an inferior product, it just means, for whatever reason, it failed. Just not sure why it's so hard to admit.

Let's take the less traveled road. Still power though.

Water Cooled via H60.

Place a decent(not low noise/low rpm) fan, safely, directly over the VRM section between the CPU socket and the rear I/O panel.

Post back if that does anything there for this. Using water cooling, all manufacturers of the kits and MB manuf's specift/req this be done. With a HS/F combo it pushes air through this area/section. The pump NOW over your 5820K? Um...nope. Zip. Nada, Zilch.


Post back the results please.

And an FYI. Air hose = compressor? Careful you don't lift off any of the components when doing that. In all my years I've only seen three having done that, but .......

"Lock ups' w/o producing a Dump file after are 99.99% the result of bad or eroding memory and power supplies.

So if it is duplicable, I'd try using some diff mem off maybe a friend .

Basically, think about all your PC has been through since you built it and check for things that could cause problems. How dusty was the inside of your PC? Do you smoke? If you do then tar builds up inside the PC in a thin layer, this can block contact on things like memory and your GPU. Take a clean rag and some isopropyl alcohol and clean the contacts of both your RAM and GPU before reinserting them.  Let us know how it goes.
