Z270 boards do not support 8000 series cpu, you need a Z370 motherboard.
Please list all your components so we can be sure that is the issue. |

Just installed an Intell i7-8700 and 2 sticks of PNY 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz. Nothing else installed yet. When I hit the I/O button on the PS the white/bluish led under the black and white ASRock heat sink comes on and pulses. It then turns red and pulses. Pressing the power button has no effect; not even the power supply fan.
My case doesn't have a speaker, although I would guess since it won't even power that wouldn't help. The manual has no troubleshooting section that I can find to determine if the colored LEDs have meaning. I must have built 50 systems, and usually if they won't boot (which is rare) I triple check all connections. Did that a few times - they're all good. Then pull the CMOS battery. No luck. Even disconnect the power and jump the clear CMOS jumpers. Still no luck. I think I've only had 1 DOA MB in all those builds - usually there is something in the manual. Any help is appreciated.
