What ASRock need to do now is clearly state that Pinnacle Ridge is supported, bacause if you go tru the list of their B350/X370 boards the main product page does not state that Pinnacle Ridge is supported, it only states:
The X470 products page states:
X370 is missing the Pinnacle Ridge writing and X470 is missing Bristol Ridge Its a little funny tho, but things like this can hurt sales, because people check the main product page mostly and only after that they look on the detailed CPU support page of the respective motherboard in search for a certain CPU. If the main product page does not list the CPU family they just close the TAB/Window and search for another motherboard, they will not go and search for the detailed CPU support list. Can someone message them to add Bristol Ridge to X470 and Pinnacle Ridge for the B350/X370 boards on the main product pages for the respective motherboards? Maybe Xaltar if you can PM one of the ASRock guys? I know its nothing technical just the marketing, but as I said it could hurt sales, so why not get it done right :) Cheers

should improve a lot of different aspects all round the early reviews seem to place no difference on b350/x370 boards to the newer x470 with the 2700x performance seems on par what does come up a lot is the cpu needs very very good cooling and just leave it stock and it boosts itself very very well |

I think they missed the 2700X on the ITX boards when they updated the pages, because I checked yesterday all other X370 boards and they had the 2700X listed :))
I updated the thread title and first post to reflect the added support Have a nice day all

I am guessing ASRock was not allowed to list support until after the official launch date, that is fairly common with new CPU launches.

Support lists appear to be updated now, my X370 Taichi lists the Ryzen 2xxx CPUs now from BIOS 4.60 upward.

I wrote in another post about that situation, its somewhere around here need to search for it and I will link it, from a marketing standpoint it sounds plausible, they could do it, but from a technical point that thicker thermal pad will not affect the capacity of the VRM's.
For efficency/capacity of the mosfets to drop they need to be beyond 120-150C, that is impossible to achieve even with the thicker thermal pad, 95-105W is not that much if you remember the FX9590 with its 220W TDP and it was certified on 125-140W motherboards, I had a 9590 that I overclocked to 5.2GHz with 1.55V on a Crosshair V Formula-Z and I remember I had a braided 8 pin ESP extension cord that melted after a Cinebench run, it was a hair away from a short because of the insulation melting away but the motherboard and CPU is still going strong today after 3 years, the 9590 at 5.2 with 1.55 goes to a TDP of at least 300W, and all this with a H110 in push pull, again no airflow on the VRM's, if we take that in consideration 105W worth of current for these VRM's is a cake, and I know the Crosshair V Formula-Z had a 8-2-2 power delivery if I remember right :) and the ASRock ITX ones have a 3 3 2, so they should be ok up to 140W with no problems, I bet there are people with these motherboards and 1800X's overclocked that pull that much current and have no problems
