Yesterday, after change bios settings to uefi defaults, my motherboard dont clock my 2500k higher than stock speed.
I'am setting clock to 40 - it reverts me to 37, any setting above 37. But in system (Windows 10 64bit) clock speed not going higher 3399 (3400 mhz) I have 20 gb ram (2x2gb 2x8gb) and now working only 2x8gb. Tried to change slots, 2x2gb working, then 2x8gb is not installed. But it's not all... Now i can't change dram speed higher than 1333mhz, 1600 and higher don't showing up in bios. And...iGPU settings is gone. I'am not using it, but maybe it will help to "help" me. Tryed to reflash bios 2.10 Tryed to flash 2.10a. Tryed to restore settings to defaults with CLR_CMOS jumper. Tryed to restore settings by releasing motherboard battery. Tryed to flash new Intel Management Engine Firmware (8.1.65.1586_1.5MB_PRD_RGN). ALL this moves doesn't help me at all. Google can't help me, but found same problem on ASUS forum and there is some "flasher" that help to solve this problem (or not this, but problem is similiar) PLEASE help me and sorry for English, it's not my native.

When using Windows 10, use this version of the Intel IME software:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Pro3/?cat=Download&os=Win1064 But do this first. Download and run the INF file installation program for Windows 10, the INF driver ver:10.1.1.8 on the same page. What are you using to check the speed of your CPU in Windows? Edited by parsec - 09 Oct 2016 at 9:17pm |

Intel's IME engine is integral to the way Windows works with the BIOS. If you are using the wrong version certain features will not work correctly, both in Windows and in BIOS. I know it is odd, it never used to be this way with legacy BIOS but UEFI is a different beast entirely.

Features doesn't even show in BIOS.
Clock speed automatically revert on my eyes in BIOS, then i set >37. It's instantly go to 37 without restart. Memory speed drop down menu is only showing 1066 and 1333mhz. iGPU settings is not showing. I can unplug my harddrives for test, but i think they cannot touch BIOS settings.

Windows can and does alter things in the BIOS but IMO that may be a bit of a stretch in this case. Try installing the latest IME for your board, if that does nothing (as I think it may) post back again.

Already done it.
Also find some old BIOS for this mb and flash each of them step by step. 1.51a 1.60 1.80 1.90 Problem is still happen. Going back to 2.10 Some other thing discovered. I can boot with 1x8gb and 1x2gb memory in dual-channel mode. So it's totally not a dram problem i think. (2x8gb or 2x2gb or 1x8gb&1x2gb) System browser in bios show me that connected all 4, but working only 2 slots. Here is MEinfo log ![]() Edited by MaxiJazz - 10 Oct 2016 at 1:03am |
