Hmmm. lets begin with .........
Above the top PCIe x16 slot, what model of MB is silkscreened there? Also, To the right of the CMOS battery is the BIOS chip. If you haven't yet updated the BIOS(do not do so at this point) there's a white sticker on it that states the BIOS revision it came from the factory flashed to. Assuming the MB is new, not refurb, second-hand, or open box, and you haven't yet flashed the BIOS, what is printed on the sticker? |

New pc build with Z170 PRO4 MB and Windows 10 installation from USB stick. When i built the system everything seemed to go ok, i am able to enter the UEFI Set up utility and browse around. The problem is that the Asrock cd (labelled Asrock IIZ170-16) that came with the MB fails to work, i get the following error message:
Driver Disk preparer V1.08 Asrock Incorporation - all rights reserved Model name: Z170 Pro4 This model is not supported! Reboot system now or press any key to continue. Apparently there is a USB driver on the cd that i need for my system to recognise my Windows 10 installation USB stick but the driver cd wont work. Any ideas? Is it the wrong cd? |
