Are you loading the XMP profile or just manually setting it to 1866?
Thanks for including the RAM model number in your post, not many do from the start and it saves us having to ask ![]() That RAM is listed as compatible with your board on it's memory support list so it should work. If you are setting the frequency manually try clearing CMOS and then loading the XMP profile, that will set all the voltages and timings correctly.

Bought this memory: Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3 1866 MT/s (PC3-14900) SODIMM 204-Pin - CT2K102464BF186D It is not postin @1866 dual channel, but it seems to boot in single channel mode. However booting takes very long. If I change the bios setting from 1866 to 1600 it even boots in dual channel mode, however, cold boot takes a long time to bios post. When booting with dual boot then Windows 10 seem to install and run stable and fine @ 1600. Is there any change to edit RAM timings in bios ? What may be the problem ? Is this an incompatibility with that memory that will be fixed by a bios update later or do I have a faulty motherboard or faulty RAM ? Is there anything I need to do ? My case is a MS-Tech CI-70 with 120W PSU. Thank you, Andre Edited by andre117 - 17 Dec 2016 at 3:26am |
