I finished building the pc and everything was fine. I booted up windows and installed, but I realized one of the RAM sticks I had wasn't being recognized. I shut everything off and and placed the RAM properly. As I booted up the PC everything seemed to be running fine, but the computer was not connecting to my monitor. I read online that I would need to take out the cmos battery and RAM to reset the bios. I did that and now neither stick of RAM lights up, the monitor still will not connect, and a red light is shining on the mother board next to bios. I did not do anything with the jumpers. Would that be an issue?

Dear spartakiss,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

According to your question, we provide some suggestions to verify:

1. Confirm the ATX 24-pin power cord and 8-pin v-core power cable are connected to M/B properly.

2. Please refer to the user manual(page.19) from the link below to clear CMOS to try(Please shut down the AC power).

3. Please clean the Goldfinger parts of memory and re-connect to the motherboard, make sure it has been installed correctly.

4. Remove the CPU and check if the CPU socket pin-bent.

5. Only install the necessary devices (CPU and one stick memory ) to check if the system can boot properly.

6. Only install one stick memory module to each DRAM slot by turns to try.

7. If possible, please install another memory module / CPU to verify.

8. If possible, please connect another display cable / monitor to verify.

Thanks!

All the best,
ASRock TSD
