A couple days? Would it have killed you to leave the H97M Pro4 bios up for us rather than forcing us to wait in limbo?

Let's not forget that it is Intel and Microsoft with the KB3064209 Windows Update that caused this problem, not ASRock or any other mother board manufacture.
If we asked Microsoft to fix this problem, what do we think (know) their response would be? Has anyone affected by this tried rolling back this Windows Update? I highly doubt it would remove the problem, but I don't own a mother board that is affected by this Windows Update. I'm simply wondering what happens in that situation. Blaming mother board manufactures for this problem, or being upset that the fix ASRock has said they will provide for us is not available yet (IF that is true) for a particular mother board, does not make sense at all. ASRock did not create this problem, and is the only one that will fix it for you. Please have some patience and respect for those that are helping you with a problem they did not create. |

It is just that it has been super frustrating. And trying to bring this problem to Microsoft's attention has been utterly futile. Like any other company, the just assume that any problem you have with their product (Windows) is either a fault of your own doing or some device. -_- At least ASrock is doing something! Running in single-core mode for the past month and a half just to get around the problem with Microsoft's unnecessary change/update has been a drag.

Just information
I guess all of the mb bioses already updated with new bios but It disables non-z oc so for you who uses h and b series mb Can't oc anymore. Correct me if i'm wrong It's really disappointing i have to buy a new motherboard to oc this I guess rather than buying a new mobo i will upgrade this processor To i3 soon It's really disappointing intel did this on purpose. |

I have another issue with OS 8.1 in 2 identical G3258 PCs.
G3258 Asrock H97M -ITX/ac G Skill 8GB 1000GB WD
There is a problem in my Device Manager... When I updated W8 (Pro) to W8.1 (Pro), I
got in both G3258 Pc , a problem with Device Manager: "Other Devices: SM Bus Controller
(problem)"... and I could not find a Driver update to solve it! ... That
problem was not present in either PC before I updated to 8.1 ; and I
have no idea what device that is! ... and of course they both failed to upgrade to WIN10... Edited by misrock - 01 Aug 2015 at 12:27am |

Will it be possible to downgrade from these bios updates? If non-z overclocking is gone I'd like the option of going back in the future. H97m-itx/ac user
