There are certain times when a BIOS, BETA or Production, will necessitate wiping a BIOS clean. It has been this way for decades and should come as no surprise to Users that chase BIOS updates just for the sake of hoping for a magical one.
It says right there on their respective download page!. 7.30 "Improve HDMI Audio compatibility." and 7.20 "1.Update Intel Microcode. 2.Update Intel ME." So.... I take it you don't spend the time tuning your own systems OC so much as just simply selecting an OC Profile from drop-down menu's? |

Use the 7.20 version. The microcode and ME firmware update may not be in the 7.30 version, but any good updates in 7.30 will also be in 7.20, since it's date is newer. There is far more to a UEFI/BIOS update than what we can see. Most of the important parts of the UEFI/BIOS are the things we cannot see. Many UEFI updates can mean different things. Do more updates mean something is better? Fewer updates, as in fewer for an SSD's firmware for example, is a good sign things were done right from the start. |

I bought kaby lake and z170 board (AsRock z170 extreme 4) and noticed few quick updates in the beginning of the year and then nothing. Im now on v.7.30 beta bios but v.7.20 is the most recesnt version and wondered if 7.20 is the version I should use or remain on v.7.30 beta.
I updated to v.7.20 a few min. ago and I dont see any changes whatsoever. I am enthusiast and overclock my CPU so ....... WHICH VERSION SHOULD I USE ? ? ? PLEASE ANSWER |
