I had a X370 Killer SLI and max I could get from my ram was 2933. Sold it and bought a Taichi, with the beta BIOS can do 3466 and with official bios 3200 CL14 straight away.
No regrets and never looked back.

Sure it does...it also allows me the voice to question the person who is complaining. It makes no sense to me to complain about something that is easily refuted. I will continue to say so, if I feel like it. I don't particularly care if you like what I say or not. You can choose to not answer just as well as I can... have a nice day., |

may i respond ? the first kit above is a 32gb kit ? (if so then it seems everyone is struggling with 32gb) both kits are corsair (you do realise although these kits have same part number batches can have very different revision numbers and outright different chips on them batch to batch ?) so it may actually be the ram not being best suited to higher speeds on ryzen now talking about ryzen............... so what your saying is the cpu wont overclock very well at all ,and the ram wont play ball at higher speeds did you consider you might have a rough cpu in the first place ? i wouldnt presume to sit here and tell you blindly its NOT the board but i would suggest maybe there could be other issues to be fair though as said earlier agesa 1006 isnt available so-to-speak gigabyte and asus have a few between them in beta are any of them for b350 or the cheaper x370 boards ? im sure the asus one is for the top end board with elmor doing all the writing bios and testing betas, that board is circa 250 £/$ its how life works im afraid some keen and avid person will have an intrest in a board they are using and write the files for that first ,it gets tested on his system .released to a few as a beta, bugs patched ,then released as a beta to a lot tested again feedback sent and then finally the manufactuer will write a public release based on the beta framework as i said earlier in this very thread its anyones choice to go pay 250 bucks for an asus board and be part of the beta testing just hope your not one of them that finds out its bricks the board when using some selected parameters like the crosshair 6 did........... now please dont take this too personal im an old man and tend to just say things as they are a spade is a spade ,no point calling it a dinky little metal impliment to dig holes with |

Correct Dogmifier! Even if something as you say..." makes no sense to complain about". There are many things in life that wont make 'sense' to YOU....and, frankly do not have to. And what is easily refuted to one person, is not to another. Either or both may have ones own ego blinding them. It happens, a lot. Especially when believing that something is... well 'easily' refuted. How about don't. Teach instead. Do that at the minimum, help at the maximum. My point was, let anyone(even you...) say what you like. However if you wish to assist someone...don't silence them or refute them. Teach them. Or not. Either way it shows your individual 'caliber'. That it has value or not. Edited by Kevin A - 31 May 2017 at 4:51am |

GUYS!
It's simply A M A Z I N G ! My 4x 16GB kit (G.Skill Ripjaws V 64GB CL14) runs now with FULL, and I repeat -- FULL speed! I honestly haven't expected THAT much (the memory controller was rather picky when it was a 4x kit and -- on top of that -- 4x DS modules!). Full speed ---3200 14-14-34-48 (and with 1T CR!) SOC 1.1, CPU @4.0GHz / 1.375V It is really faaar better than expected (I've expected that I would maybe reach 3000 with a 4x kit)... I have not believed my eyes and used four of five different software to confirm the memory SPD is indeed 1600 MHz. Thanks JZ! P.S. Ripjaws are Samsung dies. Edited by SoniC - 31 May 2017 at 11:27pm |

Memory kit F4-3200C14D-32GTZ - G.Skill Trident Z 32GB DDR4 32GTZ Kit 3200 CL14 (2x16GB)
BIOS 2.30: Max working XMP profile at 2666 cl14. For 2933 need to bump CAS to 18, everything else can stay the same. Can't go past that without BCLK change. BIOS 2.36: Wow! Hit XMP 3200 cl14 and loaded straight away with no cold boots! Brb testing stability Seems stable so far :) A must have bios for dual rank b-die.
