    Posted: 21 Jun 2017 at 2:58am
I recently purchased a SuperCarrier Z270 board and love it, except for the fact that the 5GB lan connection (the AQUANTIA AQC108)   has problems that I've been unable to solve. For some reason when I have my LAN hooked up through that port, I am UNABLE to reach certain websites (They completely time out), such sites like NewEgg, EBay and even "whoisonmywifi.com" all timeout when I attempt to visit the sites. If I move my plug to any of the Intel ports, I can get to the sites no problem!

Has anyone run into this problem before? If so, have you been able to solve it? Or is the port just bad?

same motherboard and same issue with the port

the 5gbit lan refuses to work, if i enable on the bios, and install the latest driver at restart the pc froze on error 46 and A2, to get it work i nedd to power off the pc and restart, after i disable del 5bg lan on the bios the pc works normally

after doing a memtest on my g skill trident Z rgb 3200MHZ i found 2 error, the ram was mounted in slot 2-4, then i have done a memtest in the slot 1-3, this time no error -__-

testing a single module of crucial ddr4 2400mhz no error was found

dismounted and reomunted the cpu, all is fine socket is ok, and cpu contact is good, cooler not overtightened

now i'm replacing the ram with another kit, but for the 5gbit lan? is the mainboard defective?

thx a lot

With your RAM in the correct slots, uninstall the Aquantia driver, reboot, them re-install the driver.

Post your findings please.

Uber, is this a new build??

If it is, can I suggest beginning anew?

If uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't remedy the 5G I myself would begin anew with/at a new OS install. Me thinks with the RAM in the wrong slots you might have been corrupting the OS and or other drivers.

Thx for the support, i found that after the update of the 5gbit lan port i have choose the wrong driver, i have installed the aqn 108 instead of aqc 108, then i have done a sistem restore at the moment before the installation of wrong driver, now with the old driver the port works fine and the pc restart normally

But but... i i try to install the latest aqc 108 aquantia driver i get an error and the port stops working
After i receive the new ram im going to reinstall the os completely

Yes wardog is all brand new, cpu ram and mainboard, the other components are from the old build, but all are 100% working, because i swapped only the mb+cpu+ram block

as said was my mistake because i have updated the port to the last driver but i downloaded the driver for the AQN, not the AQC, now reverting the system to a restore point the port is working but with the driver from the dvd/asrock site.

trying to install the newest driver the installation give me an error and the problem come back.

in the folder of download of the new driver there are 2 folder, 32bit and 64 bit, now obvsly need the 64 bit, inside the 64 bit are three other folder, named respectively:
installer, with the .exe of installation inside
MUP, with a zipped folder that contain another setup.exe
standalone driver, wich contains the only driver for the win10 and older sistems
wich i should install?

For the RAM, asrock mobo work better with the memory in 1-3 slot? or its not relevant?

thanks again SleepySleepy
