This, and Gskill FlareX 3200 c14 are the best bet. I don't know about the Team Group sadly :-(

without checking its 'probably' samsung die (chips) which is good but you would need to check
a dealer here in the uk swears by team ram in his systems using ryzen |

So do you have any suggestion of any c14 kits? |

Corsair 3200 C16 likely are Hynix, so with some tuning and luck you will be @2933. For @3200 you have to look at C14 kits, which 99% are Samsung B-die chips. There is no warranty you can run @3200 on these tough :-(

A little update on my attempt to get @3066 stable and post.
It seems setting CLDO_VDDP to 975mv helped me to workaround the cold/warm boot issue. Had to let memory training enabled tough, and ProcODT at 60 ohm. I have to do more testing but @3066 16-16-16-34-56 2T geardown disabled works. Performance wise on AIDA memory benchmark, it's the same as my @2933 14-16-16-32 1T Geardown enabled, a little bit better latency only, so I have to do more testing to see if the bump on infinity fabric frequency has an impact on performance. Cinebench R15 score is a little higher, due to the higher frequency imposed to the infinity fabric, because DRAM bandwith is the same. If it's a little or non negligible impact on performance, I will go back to @2933 for stability reasons and wait for new AGESA :-( Thanks for reading.

Hi wardog,
Thanks for your suggestions. No, it was with memory training enabled. On my system I found I had to leave it enabled to not get one or two F9 errors on cold boot @2933, but I will try disabling that option @3066 and see how it does. VTT_DDR I set always at half VDram. My main problem now is to get a config @3066 which passes post. Once I get it nailed (if I ever can), yes, as you said I could start lowering SoC volts and testing stability. My main gripe right now is how frustrating it is when you pass two hours of stress testing only to discover your "somewhat OK" settings do not pass a reboot and/or a cold post never again :-(( I'm having dreams at night with that "F9" Dr Debug code :-))) Thank you very much anyway, I'll wait for the new AGESA (if AMD is kind enough to release it some day) to try again. I'm happy with my system right now, but you know, we always want more and more, and tinkering with this AMD platform had become both a nightmare and a very good learning excercise ;-) Cheers,

nangu, was that with Memory Training :Disabled ?
Hint: Or, my experiences here........ Start with SoC at 1.1, VDram at ? called for, VTT_DDR runs half of VDram and I'll and a pinch, like, if VDram at 1.375 I'll make VTTT_DDR 0.69/0.695/0.700 SoC you can back down once your mem begins responding. You'll know when it "begins responding" as it's like being perched on the fence. A little this way, a little that way, and all will still be stable. Versus pushing it all uphill. |
