Hello,
I changed my mainbord from N68FX to 990fx killer, yesterday. After this I can't boot Windows 7 normal/safe mode with SATA AHCI Mode enabled. Within SATA IDE Mode Windows is comming up but is seems there is no way to install the AHCI Drivers. (AHCI not shown by Catalyst). Is there any solution? regards, linuxpaul |

OK,
there is no question about changing board, but wihch mode was used (installed) before. M$ provides a Windows Patch for moving from BIOS to AHCI. regards, linuxpaul |

Welcome to the forums.
By your comment I am guessing you did not perform a new installation of windows along with the board change? Whenever changing motherboards in particular it is always advisable to perform a fresh installation of windows. If you perform a clean install then simply enable AHCI before you install the OS and windows should install the drivers automatically. As for installing AHCI drivers on a windows 7 system without having to reinstall windows you can find what you need here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/922976 Windows 7 requires you to install the OS with AHCI enabled in order for it to function but this little app enables AHCI without the need to reinstall. Note you must run the APP in "legacy"/IDE mode, then restart and enable AHCI. I hope this is what you were after.
