Hi, i have read your solution but I don´t have an Intel NUC Kit here. It´s a simple self-made HTPC. Or am I getting something wrong?
I have emailed tech support and they sent me a BIOS 1.66. Seems there is a new one. I cannot test it as I have already sent back the board to the vendor because besides the HDMI problem there was no way to get a smooth 4K TV broadcast with DVBViewer. But that is a different topic already discussed in the DVBViewer forum. Edited by Gwaihir - 02 Sep 2017 at 3:57pm |

I think you're misunderstanding me.
I have the same motherboard as you, and this motherboard uses the same components for HDMI output as the Intel NUC. In an Intel forum they commented that exactly the same thing happened to them as to us (they couldn't connect the HDMI output to a 4K TV) and the solution they found was to update the BIOS of these components (not the motherboard BIOS). Follow my instructions (connect HDMI to a monitor or TV other than 4K, start windows, download and update the BIOS of HDMI components, turn off, connect to 4K TV and enjoy). Greetings.

Hello.
Yes I followed these instruction without issue.. Seemed to work for a week or two, but now the same damned issue is happening again.. Windows always boots to troubleshoot/restart etc. If I disconnect the HDMI windows will boot normally and can login via VNC... So did that, reconnected the HDMI cable and turned on the 4k TV. Computer crapped out and restarted back to troubleshoot/restart etc. IS THIS ISSUE ever going to be fixed or what Asrock????????? Any other work around or fix to this ridiculous issue? Cheers |
