Hello guys,
I made a new build with: - AsRock Fatality AB350 Gaming k4 - Ryzen 5 1600X - G.Skill Flare X 3200 C14 2x8gb (F4-3200C14D-16GFX) - nVidia GtX 1070 ti MSI gaming 8X I have updated bios to 4.70. I tried different ram configuration but i can't get dual channel configuration. I don't understand what is the problem :( A1 A2: workstation switch on and switch off after many seconds continuosly A1 B1: single channel configuration A2 B2: single channel configuration B1 B2: as first case And Windows 10 says that use 8gb and 8gb dedicated to hardware Thanks in Advance! use a2 and b2
most of the time its the ram stick not fully inserted (they require far more pressure than we would like to use) rest of the time its the cpu not seated properly clear the cmos after each fix attempt |

Mis-matched sticks will present this too. Single channel with half being seen/usable in Wndows.
Sometimes even one that is fritzing out. Great reply datonyb. Thank you. Your "clear the cmos after each fix attempt" cannot be stressed enough here. BTW, my hoity toity mem? You don't want to know what they booted into Windows last night was. I don't expect them to be stable at that, which the weren't, but this new AGESA gave me some more headroom so long I didlle with timings/voltage. ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by wardog - 11 Mar 2018 at 4:55am |

Krakeniko, during POST, memory is tested and only the sticks that pass are given to Windows. What yours is saying is one of the two sticks is not passing the tests. Please put one stick in A1 and see if it will boot, then try A2 and the rest. Try all slots with the other stick also. This will give you a picture of a bad stick and/or a bad slot. If one stick is always bad but all slots are good, then RMA the memory kit. If one or more slots are bad, you may need to RMA the board. Enjoy, John.
