Why do you people even use 4.xx bios? Just use 3.40 for first Ryzen gen, and 4.xx for Ryzen 2nd gen.
I have an AB350 Pro4 (not an "m" version), and everything is ok on my end. I'm on bios 3.40. My Ryzen 3 1200 is running at 3.9 GHz @ 1.36V, and my Patriot 8GB 2400 MHz is running at 2666 (OC'ed). No problems so far, but can't go to higher RAM frequency, nor CPU.

Paid today a cheap Biostar A320 motherboard. I think i will receive it in one week. I tried to stay with ASRock board, but those fukcing freezes are to annoying, constant and frustating to me. Serious, almost 5 months with this and no hope of fixing. Not a word from ASRock. Censored

My warranty with this Censored AB350M PRO4 will end in november 2018 in the shop that i bought. Until then i will wait for a miracle from the heaven to see if this bug is solve. If no, i will trigger the warranty.

Hi, after updating BIOS from v.4.3 to 4.5 and changing minimum processor state in advanced power options from 90% to 100% the computer seems to work fine. No freeze , no stuck during shutdown , boots correctly from the first try. Hope the problem is solved permanently.

The problem reoccured after few days. So i am going to send the board back.

One thing that i observed when my pc freezes is a little more loud vibration (just a little) that come from it. Since my vga doesn't have any fan , i think this "vibration" comes from the cpu's fan.

I am using now the 4.70 bios and the problem still persist.

--------------------------------------------------------

Other bugs that my pc got:

Sometimes when i restart after a freeze it and keep pressing the F2 button to acess bios my pc makes 5 beeps (error in processor) i made several test, played games for more than  1 month since it started to frozen again so i dont think its a defective cpu, just a "false posivite". My cpu is a Ryzen 1200 stock

Sometimes my pc freezes if i try to turn on and off my printer. It's frozen the same way the others freezes occours. My old pc never frozen when i did this with this printer so i believe this is another bug that came with this motherboard.

Since i updated the bios from 4.50 to 4.70 my pc gets sometimes another beep errors (1 long followed with 03 shorts) that indicate some vga problem. Its happens more often when i try to underclock my ram to 2133 or 1866 mhz. The memory should work at 2400 mhz.

Absolutely, RX and Vega driver has very good performance and stable on Linux.

On the other hand, integrated graphics on Raven ridge APU is still problematic on both Mesa and AMDGPU driver. Some combination of kernel version and driver may work fine but may not boot up properly after some update, it a hit or miss really.

My machine has AB350M Pro4 (Bios 4.70) + Ryzen 2400g. I had problems with WiFi card so much that force me to switch back to my old machine. But after update AMD driver Adrenalin Edition, I do not face any freeze or reboot at all. Hopefully, I will allow me to work on the machine.

By the way, I still have graphic problems with Linux distros. I look forward to next Bios update and Linux kernel.

Good luck you all.

While replacing your board is absolutely a viable option....

Before replacing the board...

1) Update Bios to the latest revision

2) Check your system and cpu temperature

3) Make sure your memory is compatible with this list
http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350%20Pro4/#Memory

4) DROP memory timings to 2133  and raise your timings to slower settings<--- this one fixed my issues because my memory speed was defaulting to 3600 and it was crashing like crazy once i dropped it to 3200 it fixed my problem i havent tried the 3400 yet which is supposedly supported

im running this memory
@ 3200 with prime95 on for 24 hours using the blend test and so far rock solid...

I was having constant freezing issues when the computer used default settings and put it at 3600 which is not supported by this motherboard.
