Hey there.

I've recently took my old rig built like 5-6 years ago and decided to upgrade it. A lot of the parts were out of date and lacked compatibility with newer things so I upped the mobo, CPU, GPU and RAM all at once.

I've got everything installed (after some early glitches like lack of display, five beep, etc. and solving those) I finally get to BIOS and get a Windows boot. In BIOS, my mouse and keyboard work. In Windows, not so much.

I'm not sure why, but within BIOS settings I do not have options to turn on legacy USB and such as many suggest. I also made sure to use USB 2.0 and not 3.0. I've tried updating drivers but have no way of verifying if those updates are taking. They aren't working, that much I know.

I'm trying to get Windows 7 to work and get the USBs working again. I also tried using an adapter for the old mouse/keyboard ports in case that made any difference but had no success.

In case it is relevant in finding a solution, these are the new mobo & cpu:
- ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 AM4 AMD Promonotory B350 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
- AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6-Core 3.2 GHz (3.6 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 65W YD1600BBAEBOX Desktop Processor

If anyone is able to help solve this, I would be eternally grateful. Hell, I'll send you a pizza.

Thanks for your time!

Hey! I agree - I think this is what needs to happen but I've tried to do so. The Windows 7 USB Patcher from https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1ty%20AB350%20Gaming%20K4/#Download ?

I don't think it's working properly or I wasn't able to get it successfully patched.
