I've tried PCI Lock, still doesn't seem to work. I read another thread that a different user with the same board had issues with their PCIe sound card.

Doesn't explain why it works on x16 but not on x1 though....

this is windows 10 issue anyway... hit windows button and R, then type msconfig. go to boot tab and then
click advanced options, then look for pci lock on the left side and check
that box. reboot and u should be done other way around would be to use win 10 1703 or older

Update - it works if I plug it into an x16 slot, but will not start (error code 10 or windows freeze on start up) if plugged into the x1 slots

Recently purchased the X370 Taichi for my Ryzen 2700x. I have an existing ASUS PCE AC68 PCIe that I had been using on my B350 motherboard.

When I plug the card into the Taichi and install the latest ASUS or Broadcom drivers on Windows (latest Windows 10 with all updates), my computer instantly locks up and cannot boot properly until I enter safe mode and uninstall+delete the installed driver. The board definitely detects my card, and I've tried various bios versions (4.64 beta, 4.7, 4.72 beta) Is this the intended behaviour for boards that have built in wifi, where I can't plug in a second wifi card?
