well thats a design flaw of the taichi. mine goes to 70 and beyond when gaming, because that heatsink is more like a style ornament :P It should be better if u use a Downforce CPU cooler. though

The numbers from the OP are very similar to mine when at rest.

Hello Guys!
I also have the Z370 Taichi Motherboard with 8700k processor. Idle is my 8700k around 28/29 degrees. And my PHC temp is Idle around 52 degrees While gaming max 59 degrees. Are those temps normal? Maybe because the NVM hard disk (also gets hot) is under the chipset, and the (big) videocard is also covering the chipset.......... Please let me know what temps you have? and if my temps are normal?

well, I have the z370 professional i7 Fatal1ty and whatever else the name says and it is practically the Taichi with the aquantia onboard.
I had the same issue from day one idle at around 55-58 and under load 60-65 at times when here in Greece is summer and everything melts down. I won't say that this is acceptable but coming from previous experience with a Gigabyte UD7-X58 I had the same issue there too and things there were even worse. That Mobo still runs rock solid after a decade of pretty rough usage. My point is to not freak out as this is probably a MoBo design issue as they have to put it somewhere in order to serve what it serves and most of the times the put it close to the GPU and taking into account what it goes through in a medium to a high-end system ... it makes perfect sense that it goes with such temps. Unfortunately, the position offers no options for alternative cooling solutions so all you (myself included) have to do ... is to digest it and move forward. |

ASRock very ugly has acted at this high price should not be high temperatures on the chipset
I was able to deal with this by buying an additional fan holder mounted on the track from the pci_e ports on the asian shop "aliexpress", ![]() in this way, you're breaking the temperature to 40-50'C |
