Good day datonyb,

I am at work, and have only had time to re-do the DRAM calculator w/ ranks set to 2, and attempted to run taiphoon. The screen shots can be found at the URL below. I will start reading the posts that you referenced, but if you glean any useful info from my screenshots, I would be most grateful to know about it. I will try uefi settings tonight if possible, but I am concentrating right now on Windows not restarting or shutting down or sleeping properly on the Asrock Ultra Quad raid array.

Thanks,

Bryan

you have to run thiaphoon as admin

right click >open as admin/run as admin

but where did you get the values for the calc. then ?

Yes, I did run thaiphoon as admin, but still got the error messages shown in the screenshots. I'm not sure what you mean about where did I get the values for the Calc. I just selected R-XMP and then calculate safe and calculate fast

arh thats why we wanted thiaphoon

it gives us the values to enter into the calc, instead of clicking rxmp

Hello datonyb,

I have uploaded my Thaiphoon screenshot to imgur. It is at:

https://imgur.com/a/MfiPNbp

I did another clean install of Win 10 Pro to my standalone Samsung 960 Pro, and was able to run Thaiphoon as administrator correctly and clicking on the 'Read' button. Do I also need to upload the 'Report'? Let me know what else I should do if you could. I will also be looking at Ryzen DRAM calculator again.

Thanks much,

Bryan

no just click report
scroll to the bottom
click show in nanoseconds
scroll to bottom again
and this section now has the timings shown in nano seconds

these you enter into the ram calculator left coloum
AFTER clicking the tab/option for custom

so in the ram calc window
select
mem type =b die
profile = custom
mem rank =2
freq = 3200
bclk= 100
dimm mod = 8

and then the data/timings shown in thaiphoon in the spaces under that

then click safe and take a picture of results

i would also suggest for future help clicking the speed option to 3333 and then safe (we may be able to make these timings work at 3200 if the suggested 3200 wont work, if you get my meaning)
as these should be a bit looser and maybe they will work at 3200 better than the suggested tighter 3200 timings

remember to also check results given in tab 2 of the calc (advanced) as these are voltages etc needed

Hello datonyb,

So sorry for the delayed response, but I cannot get Thaiphoon burner to run again on my Win10 system as shown in the screenshot that I give a link to below, because it says it cannot install the kernel mode driver due to insufficient privileges even though I ran it as administrator. Any ideas? I have emailed the developer but have not received a reply yet.
