You will likely brick your motherboard updating to a bios that is not suitable with your choice of cpu. That is why it is not recommended.

Hello,
I have Ryzen 2400 G (Raven Ridge) upon motherboard Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac. Now i use 1.70 BIOS, can I change to 3.50 with AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABB. I'm asking because official information is: "ASRock does NOT recommend updating this BIOS if(...) Raven (...) Ridge CPU is being used on your system." |

My ASRock B450M Pro4 booted a dozend times perfectly until it stuck again today. After multiple reset and repowering attempt I gave up and cleared the CMOS. System booted than, I re-configured the settings and continued. So BIOS 3.60 for the ASRock B450M Pro4 is not yet working perfectly with the Ryzen 5 3600. BR Martin |

Hi, I bought a 3700X this week (upgraded from 1600) and installed to my Asrock Fatal1ty ab350 gaming-itx/ac.
Updated bios to 6.00. System was running fine until it crashed and entered a bootloop. Couldn't even reach the bios. Deinstalled the 3700X and installed my 1600, now everything is working fine. Should I wait until a new bios version? Has there been a recent solution to this? Is there a expected timeframe? I also emailed Asrock (no reply yet). Thanks! |

hi ab350m pro4 board (5.90 bios) old : ryzen 1600 cpu + samsung ram 4gb x 4 slot dual channel ready ! new : ryzen 3600 cpu + samsung 4gb trouble !! 1. a1 slot = single channel 4gb ram ready and boot ok. 2. a1 + a2 slot = single channel 8gb ram ready and boot ok. but 3. a2 + b2 (ram setting guide) = boot x 4. a1+a2+a3+a4 = boot x This main board does not currently support dual channels. Is it a Bios problem? There is no problem with the cpu's dual channel controller. Because the dual channel was operated on the latest board with the same cpu. |

Can confirm for my part X370 Killer SLI BIOS 5.50 (AGESA 1003ABB) fixed issues I had with bootloops, crashes and memory, memory now runs with XMP enabled (DDR4-3000 CL14).
System was stable during gaming as usual. Only remaining issue or "feature" is during bootup before BIOS screen is visible, ie. just after pressing power button, graphics card fans go full speed for a while. This didn't happen with a R5 1600 CPU even with 5.40 BIOS, has started with new CPU only. Minor issue but I'd like to know if this is indeed just a feature or some kink left. CPU Ryzen 7 3800X. |

Thanks a lot for the information, Xaltar. Yes that was the form I used and yes I did receive automated confirmation email for the request (indeed it first went to the spam mail box and, to be fair, I had checked the confirmation email again and it was received on 20-July so it has not been really a month yet but still ). That's why I believe they had received the request. However I just had not heard anything else from the support / ASRock since then (not even an email to ask for more information / troubleshooting). Anyway will PM you the screenshot in case it is useful. Thanks again!

Today I'm expecting a new PSU from Amazon (Corsair RM650X) to try with my B450 ITX + 3700X combo. This is a top tier PSU according to some websites.
I don't think this solve the issues (low chance to POST, low chance to wake from sleep and very low chance to post after turning off the PSU and cutting the motherboard's power) (hope is really down) because my current PSU was working well with a Ryzen 5 1600 and the my previous build (i5 4590). But at least I'm going to try. (If it doesn't work I'll probably return the PSU, though is better than my current lower tier Enermax). Anyway, I'm doing this because ASRock Support recommended me to try with a new PSU. |
