Hi,

I updated my X470 Mobo from 1.4 to 1.9 then to 3.3 per instructions on Asrock website. Before I update the BIOs I also updated the driver packages as instructed. The update was done with Ryzen 3 1200. Windows 10 was loaded and BIOs updated to 3.3. After I switch to Ryzen 5 3600, the computer will not boot to even BIOs options screen, the power is on and off in a loop every 10 seconds. Please help to resolve this issue. Thanks

Not specifically related to this bios update, I have had a similar issue (10 second reboot loop) in the past, and found it was my motherboard was grounding out on something. Maybe something got bumped during Ryzen 3K install and it is contacting the case in a way it wasn't before? Remove motherboard from case and see if it boots then? Just an idea. I can see how that is frustrating.

Hi guys. I just received my R7 3700X and ASRock Z570 Extreme4 and I have two doubts.

If I look at the BIOS or at some program as HWMonitor, the temperatures are strange. I use a Corsair liquid cooler H100i and it shows in BIOS idle temperatures about 60°C. In HWMonitor it shows some temperatures like SYSTIN, CPUTIN, TMPIN3/5/6/7/8 but it seems that is not about all the dcores or something like that. Testing a game, MSI Afterburner doesn't show temperatures and shows every thread whith 4225MHz. I don't know if it needs an update for Ryzen 2. I can't trust these temperatures even in BIOS. Is there any program that I can check them for real?

The other stuff is that I've bought Extreme4 model because it has DTS Connect license and it's very useful for me because I use SPDIF port to my Home Theater that only has optical connection. Before that I've been using a Z97 Extreme4 that has DTS Connect and works like a charm compressing and sending the 5.1 signals with option DTS Interactive enabled. I watched movies, series, played games and everything else without any issues. Now with X570 model I don't have the DTS Interactive 5.1 option anymore and from what I tested, movies played well in Windows default player but in Media Player Classic I can get only two channels. I tested games and is the same thing. Now they only uses 2 channels. I also installed a hacked version of the Realtek driver that enables not only DTS Connect but also Digital Dolby Driver that worked well in previous Z97 board but it doesn't work too. I can get the DTS Interactive 5.1 option to select but I can only get 2 channels in the Home Theater when playing games.

I'm going to rebuild my PC from scratch to see if this makes any change to booting up. Eg remove GPU, mobo ram, cpu, memory.

B450 itx, 3600 cpu, Rx 580 4gb sapphire, 2 X 8 corrsar 2133 running at 3000 on xmp

Open command prompt and type

sfc /scannow

Checks and repairs window 10 system files if they are corrupt.

Anybody tried this fix ?

https://www.pcgamesn.com/amd/bios-update-ryzen-3000-fix

As in flash 3.50 b450 itx with ryzen 2000 series cpu and then insert 3000 series cpu.

I flashed from 1.7 to 3.10 originally.

B450itx/ac and 3600.
I used a 2200g to flash bios, worked perfectly even after changing from apu to discrete gpu.
3600 in and nothing but problems since, bootloops, no bios screen etc, motherboard will not boot reliably no matter what version of bios it has.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. It is not any grounding issue, because I switch back to 1600 CPU and it boots to the window with no issues.
