Hello folks,

I use the Taichi Ultimate X470 with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X and a pair of G.Skill Trident Z RAM (2x16GB).

Unfortunately the attempt to update the board to BIOS version 2.00 caused my system to fail.
I updated within Windows and the progress finished without any warning or oddnesses, but after rebooting the system, nothing works anymore.
There is no graphics output at all (no chance to reach BIOS), the fans sound like the are speeded up and down. I can only shut down the system by pressing the power button for many seconds.
Many codes are shown in the little display, constantely changing. There is
90, 15, 36, 4F, 54, 7A, 3E...

Changing RAM to 1x4GB did not change anything.

Without any RAM, the system behaves a little different, the display shows only code number 60.

I already tried to reset the BIOS using the reset button on the mainboard, also in combination with unplugging the whole system for one hour from the wall outlet.

Can anybody help? I am a little desperate...
Is it possible to go back to former BIOS version anyhow?

did you searched for bios recovery?
If I'm not wrong, we have AMI bios, so you can have a last chance, try with amiboot.rom (google it)... and if it works, pls, let us know

The problem is the taichi in the side of amd doesn't have any bios recovery feature, so always bios flashing is a risk.

Instant flash is in theory the safests method to flash it, and always is the very firts option, i did it 3 times and no problems, with windows all can be happend.

Try this, is not from asrock but maybe it can work. If it works tell us.

Yes too much bricked mobo with flash within Windows.
Me too I flashed each version (included JZ's ones) with no issue within UEFI.
Still, it's interesting to know whether this recovery works also for ASRock

Hi, I need some advice. I have:

ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate
2x Ballistix Sport LT 16GB DDR4-3200 UDIMM (BLS16G4D32AESC)
AMD Athlon 3000G

After power up with power button on board or CASE(can not off via the power button on board. Only with the power button PSU). The LED MB backlight plate only flashes blue. Dr. Debug is off, no code. Cpu fan is spinning. LCD monitor no signal.

I tried:
- I pressed Clear CMOS Button (PSU disconnected).
- I put CMOS battery out of the board for 12 hours.
- I start without the front panel headers plugged in.
- Start only cpu + cpu fan (no ssd, no hdd).
- Start with ram on A2 + B2 and only A2.
No status change.
et cetera

Before someone more experienced answers,
is it a new build that never started or was it working?

If it never started, I think that you have to update the bios before you plug the 3000.

If you bricked flashing new bios, try clearing cmos many times.

Also unplug from the wall the pc an remove the bios battery and wait at least half hour.

Unless you can get help from Asrock support may be they can supply you with a bootable   USB drive that you will be able flash the BIOS, otherwise you will have two get a new bios chip unfortunately they are solder, take to some one to repair.
good luck
