Hello.

I currently have a Taichi X470 Mobo running with Ryzen 2700x and 3200mh memory.

It has Bios version P1.50 and it runs fine.

I got a hold of a Ryzen 3800x and i was about to update the BIOS to the latest version but im hesitating because all the warnings and red letters.

i dont want to spend the whole evening trying to restore my bios if i mess up.
I also dont plan to overclock my cpu or ram.

can anyone recommend a stable version of BIOS for Ryzen 3700X and 3200Mhz Mem?

Thanks.

I would go with the latest version, then go to AMD and get the latest drivers they have for the 470 chipset.

the boards still work with later bios
the warning is to stop people flashing bios when they dont really need to

your case ...

you have to flash bios with 2700 to fit the 3800 after
its really a simple fact of life

now what you can do to help you along the way
have the flash file loaded on a smaller slower BUT TRUSTED usb drive
say 2-4 gb
RESET YOUR CURRENT BIOS TO DEFAULTS !!! ( this is very important)
i personally like to have JUST ONE stick of ram in slot a2 to minimise the chance of data errors
then

flash to version 2.00 first THIS IS A REQUIRED STEP !
then select the later matisse (ryzen 3000) bios version you want
id advise 3.43 or higher

restart enter bios check everything looks good
shut down refit other ram sticks
reboot to bios check all ram seen by bios
safe exit
goto windows ,check its all booted happy
restart to bios and now set the ram xmp etc
