to be fair
the very first post here really should list the FULL parts of the pc e.g. motherboard cpu ram gpu HDD/SSD AND THE MAKE AND MODEL of the power supply but if you have a noisey fan on that power supply its a very very big clue that its past its use and needs changing now anyway P.S. your ram sticks are not in the correct slots this is why your 2 sticks of ram are saying single channel and not dual channel i suggest you really get someone with some experiance of building or upgrading a pc to check it over in real life , using the internet to help is not enough in this case of a badly assembled pc ,that is now very old and has at least one very worn part |

I did that a couple of times with no result..
It tells me no vialations.. But still its like the board shuts of ? You think its a driver problem ? I also tried with a new hdd and a new OS system. Maybe ubuntu will run if its a driver problem ? |

Hi Guys.. I need help!
A friend of mine has a self made stationary pc. It has been working well for a long time. But then stuff began to happen.. First of all. The fan from the power box makes a bad noise. And it is impossible for me to open it. Sometimes when I turn on the pc nothing happens. I can hear and see the fans moving and im quiet sure the hdd is also running. But there is no screen image, and the mouse/keyboard stop working.. Sometimes I can manage to start up in failsafe version. Sometimes it allows me to run windows failsafe mode, Sometimes it stops at CLASSPNP.SYS.. He tells me that nothing have been installed lately, neither software or hardware. Can anyone point me to an idea about what is wrong ? One could think it is the motherboard that shuts of ? Maybe because the power box is not working well ? I am a software guy, so when it comes to hardware I am pretty lost.. |
