Hello all,

Mouse freezing. It will be fine for a bit then start lagging/freezing randomly. May work fine for a while but then it starts up again. Happening since system build (5 months ago). I believe it is related to the mobo. If I turn the mouse off and back on it fixes it momentarily or sometimes for awhile.
1.     Update/reinstall drivers, bios.
2.     Reseat usb transmitter.
3.     Updated graphics driver.
4.     Diasable Cortana.
5.     Disable ATI HotKey Poller service. (not there to disable).
6.     USB ports in the device manager. Uncheck allow computer to power down this device to save power.
7.     uncheck fast startup in windows power settings.
8.     Battery ok.
9.     Changed usb ports between 2.0 and 3.0.
10.     Device Manager ??allow mouse to wake up device. Unchecked.
11.     Tried 2 different wireless known working mice. One of the mice I used on my old PC with no issue.
12.     Wired mouse works without issue.
13.     Realtek is not an option to disable in task manager.   I use a SoundBlaster card.
14.     Scroll Inactive Windows option and disable / enable it.
15.     Display pointer trails.
16.     Uninstall geforce experience and disable Nvidia high def audio.
17.     open your mouse configuration software and change its frequency from 500 to 250Hz.
18.     Reinstall windows.

Also, recently both of my usb ports on the front bezel stopped working so I'm pretty sure that it's the mobo.

One word....INTERFERENCE
Put your mouse receiver on a USB extension cable away from power cables etc.
Do NOT use a USB hub with more than one device connected to it.

I guess this is not interference, 'cause I tested with a cable and the same problems happen.

My Mouse is a Corsair Dark Core, this mouse has BT, Cable and USB 2.4 connections, and the scenery is the same for all connections.

I did "reimage" and now I'm going to forums to find a fix of my problem.

My Setup:
i7-9700
32Gb DDR4 2666 (4*8Gb - Samsung)
M.2 512GB
M.2 512Gb
RTX 2070 EVGA
7team 750w Plus Bronze
WaterCooler 120mm
Keyboard Microsoft Desktop 3000 Wireless w/o Mouse
Mouse CORSAIR DARK CORE RGB Gaming
JBL Quantum 800
i7 9700
MB 360M Fatal1ty
32Gb RAM DDR4 2666 - Samsumg
RTX 2070 evga

RLGL I do believe this is the answer. Using with usb extender for about 10 hours and no issue now. Thank you!!   Odd though, have never had this issue with many system builds over the years. I still think some hardware component is causing the interference.

... had the same problem with Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. mouse lag and keyboard lag after some time, when disconecting and reinstalling the USB receiver, the problem was solved momentarily but would come back after a while.

I could solve the issue by using a 50cm USB extension cable and putting the Logitec USB receiver away from the Desk Mini X300 (AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics, Windows 11 pro).

with regards from Raku
