Unfortunately, these days buying high performance RAM for x570 system is a pure lottery. So if the system works ok with current set up, I wouldn't waste my money on new kit.

If you are planning to increase the amount of RAM with different memory, have a list of QVL memory for the motherboard when buying new RAM, and see if you can find and buy something from QVL. If not, then something close to what is on QVL, if not, then look for RAM with some quality chips (like Samsung B-Die or micron e-die) and go from there. Also if the shop mentions that it was tested on Ryzen platform, that is the plus. Avoid buying memory which in description has only Intel platform mentioned

I appreciate the detailed answer!! From what I've been reading there hasn't been all that much positive feedback from the RAM the build came with (Neo Forza Faye DDR4 32GB-3200 Hynix chip).

I should have been more clear. I don't have the Trident Z. When I looked at the QVL for Matisse (3700x which I just replaced with the 5600x), the particular RAM already installed was not listed in the 3200 speed. Only the 3600 was listed.

It just looks like the RAM I already have is not listed in the QVL for the Matisse or the Vermeer in 3200 speed.

I may have answered my own question! Its early. Haven't had coffee yet!

This seems all too confusing to me! I currently run the 5600x CPU with Forza Faye 16x2 DDR4 3200. If I wanted to swap out the RAM that came with the build, can I replace with G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64 GB 3600Mhz sticks£
