ArtiElviajero,
You don't mention what version of Windows. I am going to guess you are trying to get Windows 10 installed, and not a version of server. What revision of Windows 10? In the BIOS, is the RAID option(s) disabled? And which of the two Samsung drives are you installing to? It is worth noting that neither Samsung drive is listed in the QVL. It is possible the 980Pro NVME drive is truly not compatible with the motherboard and Windows. I would disable or remove the 980Pro NVME drive and try installing to the 860Evo. If that works, then the issue is related to the 980Pro. |

I have tried on both drives. RAID is off, Windows 10 Pro.
If 980 was not compatible with MB, other OSes should have issues too, but it is only windows |

ArtiElviajero,
I just remembered a problem I had with a Plextor M.2 SSD that only affected backups. It turned out that a firmware update resolved the issue. Have you checked to see if the Samsung 980 has a firmware update? Another thing that I have seen on some forums in cases such as this was to use a PCIe card to host the M.2 SSD. That resolved the problem for that user. |
