Brand new Z690 Extreme MB. I locked myself out by selected ultra fast prior to setting up my RAID1
Ended up clearing CMOS with jumper That took me awhile to figure out how to get to bootable drives Then I was able to use VMD and then set my non bootable RAID1 repair and I'm up and running How can I save my current bios to USB in case I mess my system up again? |

Hi Jmeleshenko,
Thank you for your post. Please follow the below instructions to save the BIOS setting to USB. 1. Make sure the system where you would like to import the setting has the same BIOS version. 2. After setting up all the settings that need to be exported, insert a FAT32 format flash drive into the system 3. Select "Save User UEFI Setup Profile to Disk", you can find it at the bottom of the OC Tweaker page 4. Click "Select Disk", select the flash drive 5. Enter "Filename" of output file and click "Save". 6. Enter "profile file name". 7. The system will automatically generate a BIN file in the root directory of the flash drive To import the BIOS setting, please follow the below instructions. 1. Insert the flash drive into the system. 2. Select "Load User UEFI Setup Profile from Disk", you can find it at the bottom of the OC Tweaker page 3. Select the flash drive, select the BIN file, and press "Load" to apply the setting 4. After applying the setting, press F10 to save the imported BIOS settings All the best ASRock TSD |

Thank you
I was able to save bios as profile 1 and then to a USB stick. I saved several times and chose default profile and then I tried a different name for the profile. Then, using Win11 I confirmed several .bin files on the usb stick before upgrading I JUST updated from R3.17 to R4.0.1 after successful upgrade bios went to default settings. I inserted USB stick, selected the USB stick and NO FILES were visible! I had redo the BIOS from scratch Don't understand why I couldn't load the bios settings I had before the upgrade? I am a novice with newer bios options Z690 Extreme |
