Updated my bios (with the idea of using 5800x3d) and it completed fine, after reboot it took about 3-4 cycles to figure itself out and booted to windows. After reboot when trying to enter bios through del/f2 it loads to a black screen that has a white DOT. As seen here https://imgur.com/a/8CYJis8

Using f6 to get into the easy flash just stalls and then restarts the pc about 5-10 seconds later.

Attempting to reset the cmos with the button in the back or jumpering 10-20 seconds seems to rest the ram because now i am stuck at 2133 with my nice 3200mhz ram but I can't see the gui to change anything. But windows works fine.

I have no way to get into the bios at this point, and restart to EUFI did nothing for me either.

Things I tried. I attempted to use the 5800x3d with the chance that maybe it was now required to get into bios. Nope nothing at all on the board would boot with it installed. Not even the fans would engage. tried that single ram stick trick on both cpu's with no luck getting into bios. So whatever 7.0 did has removed me bios GUI and I can't access it any longer.

Last thing to note, hitting f11 for drive selection still has THAT part of the ui working with mouse cursor.

7.0 is a Bridge BIOS, you are meant to go to 7.10 after.

use your OLD cpu to boot into bios 7.0
then flash up to 7.1
shutdown
swap in the 5800x3D
boot up should be OK able to see 7.1 GUI

I am using my old 1800x cpu, I have been playing on windows/apex all night. Just can't boot into the bios. No amount of trying seems to change it. Any time i enter the bios i get what is illustrated in my picture. I literally cannot get a UI to show up to do anything.

opppssss @Ev3rM0r3 sorry to hear....

If I were in your situation now, I would try ??rd last resort?‘to remove all items from mobo then press the reset buttom plus the clear cmos jumper and remove battery.i.e. remove CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD, everything removed then press reset button remove battery use jumper. Then use 1800x with minium VGA, RAM, without SSD to boot into UEFI, fringers cross, good luck.

[2nd last resort]
but a bios flasher cable
example 1 = https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.6bb32e8d0FGOdM&id=571842034657&_u=jb8lko63a4a

example 2 = https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001296112767.html

both links are dedicated ASRock bios flash (very convenient), not universal for other brands.

[last resort]
bring mobo to local ASRock dealer, I'd bet they would flash for your free of charge.

Do this again after 3 steps reset. remove everything everything then reset.

I saw somewhere in a YouTube (of I'm right was one from asrock official) video that you can do the flash from dos.
This may solve the "i can't acces the BIOS" problem

Here they explain many way for update the BIOS, one is via DOS, so maybe you can skip BIOS main page totally.
