It appears a few boards are missing from the list but I suspect they are still in testing. I have a feeling these will resolve the bulk of issues currently experienced on older versions.

Please pay attention to the BIOS descriptions, these beta BIOSes are not recommended for use with first and second gen CPUs.

Good news, thanks for sharing!

Hopefully X370 Killer SLI will get one soon too.

Hi all,

just flashed Bios 3.60 to my ASRock B450M Pro4. System is booting quite
reliable now. The Motherboard plus the Ryzen 5 3600 are a very good bang
for the bug!!! Hope the Combo will last as long as the ASRock Z97M Pro4.

Regards

Hans

Flashed my Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac to 3.50. Was able to boot once with my 3600 ... bootloop otherwise. So the score card looks like this:

3.30 1 successful boot
3.40 0 successful boots
4.50 1 successful boot

...

with the 1600x everything works perfectly fine

Updated my B450 Pro4 with BIOS 3.60 today.

I can finally save changes to the BIOS options. Woohoo!
However it still have problems.

Tried loading XMP profile for my Vengeance LPX 3200. It can be selected and saved, but the speed refuses to change from 2133. With XMP profile loaded, each time upon exiting BIOS menu the PC will automatically shut down, turn back on for about 3 seconds before shutting down again, repeats that 2 more times, finally turns on and stays blank for about 30 seconds before the ASRock logo shows up... and the RAM speed persists at 2133 even with the XMP profile loaded. CPU-Z confirmed that speed. Had to go back to Auto to make this behavior stop. Manually forcing 3200MHz didn't work either.

Also, the CPU temperature seems to be abnormally high, although at this point I can't confirm it yet.
PC startup before reaching POST also still takes longer than the 1.80 BIOS.

Aside of those, everything else seem to be working well. But I wonder if there will be a separate BIOS update path for non-Matisse CPUs, because the first thing that crossed my mind upon seeing this BIOS update requirement is that I won't be able to sell my mainboard to Raven or Pinnacle users anymore. That's a concern for another time though.

As an owner of the ASRock X370 Taichi, I too am eagerly waiting for a BIOS that will support my new processor - A Ryzen 3600. I recently upgraded from the 1600 and expected a smooth transition.

Knowing that this board is now 2 generations old, I expected ASRock to devote little resources seeing as the newer generations are more pressing, and they would like to push folks like me into upgrading to their new X570 line.

But seeing many older gen board receive their beta BIOS??I begin to wonder exactly what is their plan for the X370 Taichi owners? I refuse to bring disparaging comments against a company that has made products that have served me so well in the past. I simply am wondering if I am better off upgrading to the x570 Taichi so that I can run at a memory speed greater than 2133?

Any suggestions?

Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac with BIOS 3.50.
Not able to change settings in the BIOS. After saving, the computer gets stuck and I have to do a hard reset.

Is this the case with any setting or is there something specific causing it (like XMP)?

Could you try the following:

1. Enter the UEFI, save and exit without making changes
2. If the system POSTs as normal after 1 then try changing a fan profile from default to full or silent (doesn't matter which) then save and exit.
3. If you are able to POST after that, restore factory defaults and enable XMP but set the frequency manually to 2133 then save and exit.
4. If you are able to POST at this point then you can go into the UEFI and increase the RAM frequency one step at a time saving and rebooting after each step.

Let us know where your system fails to post. Good luck

If you look at this thread:

https://www.overclock.net/forum/11-amd-motherboards/1627407-asrock-x370-taichi-overclocking-thread.html

you can find 9 new bioses with AGESA 1003 (from 5.60 to 5.67 and 5.80 which seems to be the almost official release). Don't ask me why ASRock don't publish them on his site.
