I have got B450 Pro4 with Ryzen 2600, you reckon it's a good idea to jump from 4.10 to 4.80? I noticed too 4.80 has no warning for pinnacle, while 4.10 had.

I have no issues with 4.10 other than that weird flashing (which is only during POST, rest is all normal): https://streamable.com/vjps8y

So you flashed 4.10 with the warning, but now you're worried about 4.80 which doesn't have it? Personally would update it.
That flashing looks weird, and also, I can see that you didn't make a EUFI windows installation, you did a legacy installation.

Lol, tell me about it?

Thing is now nothing is broken, been 4 days with no issues. Only 'issue' is the weird flashing at the start. I tried reinstalling GPU drivers but nothing really worked.

Yeah, it's Legacy, not UEFI. I googled a bit how to convert to UEFI but I saw there is a chance of data loss etc so I wouldn't want to take the route.

What I am 99% sure about is that this latest BIOs update caused the flashing, because when (the same day) I updated to 1.80 and then to 3.10 the flashing did not exist. I am just afraid jumping from 4.10 (current) to 4.80 because it might make things even worse.

I would update the Bios and then make a fresh UEFI Windows installation.

I tried newest bios (4.70) for X470 taichi ultimate an ryzen 2700 with 2x16 GB 3200 Mhz RAM. Unfortunately on newest bios i Couldn't set RAM to work on 3200 Mhz.

I used again 3.3 bios for my motherboard. Maybe someday I will again try new corrected bios (or when I change my CPU to newest model)

audio issues

in the last bios update (2.60) my b450m / ac board allowed to accelerate the ram frequency to 3733(with XMP), I was happy, but then I realized that this generated audio problems, I back to 3200, so ... ñe, good luck to everyone

A note for someone considering updating to Bios 4.80. Worked OK on Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 with Zen+ (Pinnacle, no APU). I was concerned about issues that others have had with previous versions. I had updated to 3.90 without issue, and have now updated to 4.80. Windows 7 took a short time to load drivers afterwords, but everything is working good (after rebooting with driver changes) and now there are some new bios options. Only thing that is off is the trc clocking in memory XMP profile, but thats it and not a problem.

Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4
G.SKILL Flare X 16G Mem kit
Ryzen 1600AF
Radeon RX 550 4GB
970 EVO Plus NVME
Win 7 x64

Users want to know whether they can downgrade the UEFI firmware versions or not.

Thanks for answering. I will do the BIOS update test initially.

My version of the 2700 Ryzen 7 is not the "X". I'm thinking of replacing it with the third generation, using Ryzen 5 (3600), again without the "X".
