The ethernet device is not recognized as part of Windows 10 install, you need to install the ASRock provided driver for AB350M before you can proceed or do a Windows update.

I did this from another drive or USB and then things proceed.  It is a surprise that Windows has no standard driver for this that works.

Better yet, install the All-In-One driver for AB350M from ASRock and that does the trick too.

The latest drivers from the Realtek website seem to have fixed the problem, I didn't want to report back that it was working until the next day, and I tested it over a few boot cycles. Thanks MisterJ & datonyb

Good point, datonyb.  Antiscrub, please use this link and see if there is a later driver for your NIC.

http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

I will post a reset procedure in a minute that should at least be quicker than reinstalling the driver.  Enjoy, John.

EDIT: Open an Administration command prompt and run the following commands.  A restart will be required.  Please let us know if it helps.
netsh interface ipv4 reset
netsh interface ipv6 reset

have you tried installing a different driver pack (eg the one direct from realtek,or telling windows to search for the driver on internet)

Hello ASRock forum users,

I just recently bought a AB350 Pro4 motherboard. The board is great, everything (mostly) works and I've achieved decent overclocks on it with my Ryzen 5 1600 and 3200 MHz RAM.

However the issue I am having is with the ethernet adapter. Since day one, it was tough for me to initially get it set up even though I had downloaded the drivers onto a flash drive (since Windows can't detect/auto install drivers for the Realtek ethernet adapter this board has). Every time I start the computer from a cold boot, the ethernet adapter doesn't give me full internet access. I'm basically looking at this https://imgur.com/8kECrz0 every time it boots. Disabling and re-enabling the adapter via the device manager sometimes works, not not very often. Sometimes I have to do this 10+ times before I finally get internet access. Restarting my router/modem and unplugging/replugging the cable has the same effect, rarely works but sometimes does.

The only way I'm able to quickly remedy this problem is by completely uninstalling the Realtek ethernet drivers through Control Panel, and then running the setup for the drivers again to reinstall them. Once it's reinstalled, internet comes right on and it will work for the entirety of my boot time on. Once I shut the computer down completely and start it again from a cold boot, the same issue occurs and I have to do the same process.

Was wondering if anyone could help me with this, because it's extremely annoying to have to uninstall/reinstall drivers upon every boot cycle. I can't leave my computer on for days because of issues with ambient temperatures (my room gets exceptionally warm because I have poor insulation/air conditioning).
