The CPU it self has 16 PCI-E lanes wired to the graphics that why if you use the 2x16 slots they will run at 2x8 PCI-E.
The Z370 chipset have 24 PCI-E lanes, I have the same board and I use a i7-8086K it does have 16 PCI-E Lanes to directly for Grapchis and I use a Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2. and my GTX 1080 Ti on this board with bios P3.10 runs x16 3.0 without any issues and under no load it runs x16 1.1. ![]() |
