Mind sharing a link to what you bought that worked and possibly a picture of the finished product?

I too am having lots of stability problems just on the desktop with ubuntu 18.04

They got much worse when i upgraded my bios to the latest version

My build is in a tower case with front intake and rear exhaust fans. Also has side intake and top exhaust fans. My system uptime is only 10 days so far. It may still be premature for me to declared "fixed" but fingers cross.

If your setup is in a tower case, I suggest that you remove the side panel and blow cool air at the top left portion of the ab350m pro4. Could even use a table fan if you have to. If this test makes your system more stable then you can work on a more polished solution.

I'm going to check my temps when i get home but the heatsink doesn't feel hot so if my temp is elevated I'm assuming maybe the heatsink isn't contacting the chip....

Almost the same here with the temps of AUXTIN0 and AUXTIN1

Well i feel very silly.... i updated the bios to the latest firmware and forgot to specify my RAM settings... 


it was set to automatic and trying to run at 3600... i dropped it down to 2800 and it seems much better...
im going to run prime95 over night and report back......

Long story short... check your RAM and temps before blaming the board....

Well its been running with 100% cpu load for over 8 hours using the blend test on prime95 maxing out my 12 threads on my ryzen 1600X and computer is still on....

If you are having stability issues i would recommend to check your ram settings and make sure you drop the frequency...

Replaced ASRock AB350m Pro4 with Asus Prime B350M-A and all freezing/crashes are gone.
Just a waste of money this board

While replacing your board is absolutely a viable option....

Before replacing the board...

1) Update Bios to the latest revision

2) Check your system and cpu temperature

3) Make sure your memory is compatible with this list

4) DROP memory timings to 2133  and raise your timings to slower settings<--- this one fixed my issues because my memory speed was defaulting to 3600 and it was crashing like crazy once i dropped it to 3200 it fixed my problem i havent tried the 3400 yet which is supposedly supported


im running this memory
@ 3200 with prime95 on for 24 hours using the blend test and so far rock solid...


I was having constant freezing issues when the computer used default settings and put it at 3600 which is not supported by this motherboard.
