With bios 3.00 and the Stilt preset (http://www.overclock.net/t/1624603/rog-crosshair-vi-overclocking-thread/23870) I can do 3200 and 3333 cas 14 totally stable.

3200 SOC 1.025v RAM 1.35v.
3333 SOC 1.10v RAM 1.375v.

Memory is 2x8Gb KFA2 HOF 3600, samsung b-die.
CPU ryzen 1700

For now, 3466 is unstable, but I'm happy with the X-370 gaming K4.

That's one more good experience with AGESA 1.0.0.6a. That apparently is not universal, which is why we are trying to keep track of good and bad experiences.

Are you saying that the Stilt memory profiles are different than what the XMP profile settings are for that model of memory?

Not that the XMP profile settings are right for a Ryzen system, since all of the pre-Ryzen DDR4 memory models are designed to work with Intel systems, the only PC platform to use DDR4 memory until Ryzen was introduced.

Also, these timings are apparently basically generic for Samsung B-die based DDR4 memory?

Exactly, with the XMP profile settings 3200 and 3333  is unstable. 3466 don't boot.

I need to set manually all the timings and subtimings in bios.

Also I set procODT 53.3 Ohm for 3333 and auto for 3200.

This preset is for samsung b-die, but the stilt have another preset for hynix ram (I don't know if works).

How can i access the second half of the timings?
I can only find the timings up until tCKE
also i'm a bit confused that there are 2 areas where you can change the timings, one in the oc tweaker and one under advanced options (where some of the values are in hex) does it matter which one i use?

I was confused as well, also, because there are two places where you can change the BGS, but if you change timings in the OC Tweaker it will reflect under advanced options, and vice versa.

I'm still unclear about the two voltage settings on the main page.

I change both to fixed 1.3375, but am unclear as to why there are two places to change vcore.

Pretty sure this was answered somewhere before, but I haven't come across the answer yet.

This time I thought just go for it. For me at least the a stands for awesome!
  • No more POST fails and CMOS resets after failed memory OC. It was so annoying that I just kept my memory at stock speeds. It felt like AM4 advanced memory training wasn't working at all before.
  • I can actually play with my memory settings now without worry
  • I can actually run my memory at 1T
  • Memory runs fine at 2933 with 18 18 18 44 65 1T (2x8 Crucial Ballistix Sport CL16 2400 Stock), before it wouldn't boot above 2400.
  • Performance increase in cinebench from ~1550 to 1652
  • Noticable better minimum FPS
  • CPU fan finally reacts to Tctl instead of slow socket sensor

I was actually pretty disappointed with ASRock when they announced the board as EoL, but this update showed me that they still put effort into making it better, which brought some trust back, especially after my "rocky" past with their boards. So Kudos!

How you setup your ram? I have same memory and I curious if you just change main timings or you change more than that.

That was quick.  I hope there are some improvements, but maybe not.

Off their website.

"Add AMD PBS Primary Video Adapter to control Bristol Ridge CPU display order."
