I'm sorry, but that PSU does not belong in ANY modern PC!
The maximum rated wattage of the +12V rail is 216W +12V @ 18Amps), which is shared with the CPU, mother board, and video card. The power distribution of the +12V +5V and +3.3V rails (18A, 30A, 20A respectively) is the kind used when the +5V rail was used for the CPU, over 10 years ago. Why are PSUs like this still being sold? Is there any chance in the world this PSU would support the Intel C7 C State low power load on the +12V rail? I hope you have case fans and fans on the CPU cooler to keep the +12V rail loaded, otherwise the +12V rail will go out of ATX specification. Of course, that assumes this PSU even has OVP, which I doubt. An obsolete design for a modern mother board, CPU, and video card. Notice the "P4" in the model name. That means the old Pentium 4 Intel processors. Introduced in 2000, they were 32 bit CPUs until an upgrade to 64 bit in 2004. Last P4 model was released in 2006. Also, 1.5VA on the 5VSB rail?!?! The PSU is the heart of any PC. If the electrical power supplied to the other hardware is not of good quality, every aspect of the PC's performance will suffer. Plus the quality of the build of this PSU must be terrible, I can only imagine how bad the voltage regulation, ripple suppression, efficiency, etc is. I would be afraid to use it in any PC I owned. Sirtec as a brand of PSU is one I would never consider even looking at, much less using. Please spend at least $50 on a PSU, which is just enough for one of decent quality. I have fans that cost more than that Sirtec PSU. |

Which PSU would you recommend me for 50$ ? Where I live those are the available PSU in my price range. Corsair Builder Series CX430 Super Flower SF-550P12XP 550W Super Flower SF-550K12XP v2 550W FSP HYPER 500W Well, I changed my mind and I probably ain't gonna buy that Sirtec anymore. Instead I would've think of Corsair Builder Series CX430 -> http://www.corsair.com/en/cx430-80-plus-bronze-certified-power-supply What do you think about it ? Could the CX430 handle it without any problem? the system is being used mostly for gaming(not the most demanding games out there) (usually I spend like 5-6 hours playing games) Is the PSU better than any of the above and if it isn't which one from the above list should I buy ? Full PC Specs (might not be the best CPU ever, but still gets the job done in one way or another); I put the specs here so you guys can make an idea if the CX430 would be enough for it.
I checked if my HDD could support GPT, but seems like it only supports MBR, is it fine if I would go MBR UEFI partition scheme ? Edited by sleepyhead - 21 Feb 2017 at 12:06pm |

Your HDD will support GPT. GPT is simply a partitioning scheme.
My choice, even as I know it's on the high end of your budget. http://www.corsair.com/en/vs-seriestm-vs550-550-watt-power-supply Your RX 460 requires/needs a min 380W PSU, and I can't really see scrimping a few dollars here, now. What little extra you spend now, 430 v 550, will hold you over for future upgrades for some time. http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm |

The Corsair VS gets my vote too. It will last you a while and Corsair have better support than the other brands you listed. The Corsair 430w will be adequate too but if you upgrade at any point you may need to replace it which makes it a waste of money.
GPT works on just about any SATA drive, I used it on an old 5200rpm 2.5" SATA II laptop drive without any issues for an HTPC I built a while back.

I don't know about that VS550, many people say its bad and not reliable, etc..
I've been using the DELUX 'PSU' for 7-8 years. I never bought a PSU before(DELUX came with the case) and if I buy one I want it to be atleast a decent quality one.
I could increase my budget by a bit to buy a Corsair CX450M is it a decent PSU?
I understand that RX 460 requires atleast 380W, but DELUX is a "450W PSU" and still 'handle' it Edited by sleepyhead - 21 Feb 2017 at 11:46pm |

Hi, It's me 'sleepyhead' I can't log in anymore into that account( I dont know why, it says my password is incorrect, but I'm sure it is not, also password reset doesn't work for me )
I wanna say that I reinstalled my windows using GPT partition scheme for UEFI and it works like a charm. Thank you for all the answers, you guys are awesome. also I bought a Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze I hope it is a good PSU, I'm also curious if that PSU can handle an i5-4590 + RX 460 and if the CPU is compatible with my ASRock H81M-VG4 (regarding BIOS compatibility).

Would there be any 'huge' bottleneck between an i5 4460/4590 and RX 460?
