I just update bios 4.90 yesterday,
yup it's another problems
got some random default setting at boot.
But this not happen with version 4.70

So, I've test ryzen 1600 @3.70GHz
VCore 1.250v with Realbench 8Hrs.
Also Stressapptest 2Hrs for RAM 2800 CL12-14-14-28 1.35v.
https://imgur.com/d8Jr0wR

Maybe I've some luck, P-State method works!
just set overclock mode from "Asrock Setting" to "AMD CBS Setting"
then customize the P0.

Follow by this step :
1. Setup you RAM or leave it default (2133MHz)

2. Change OC mode to "AMD CBS Setting"

3. Set the P0 state as Custom
3.1 Change FID and VID to match your OC

The random boot with default setting was solved.

PS. sorry for my poor english.

I guess thinking that changing just the CPU voltage settings would fix the freezes was too good to be true. I did change some other things in the BIOS, including changing Power Supply Idle Control to "Typical Current Idle".
Here are some BIOS settings I thought were important, if you would like to compare.
If these settings don't work then sorry. I guess the problems are multifaceted, with some being more complicated to fix due to aspects like time and extent of damage. Again it's also possible that my MB's problems are not fixed, too. Either way, good luck.

I've had really high hopes for BIOS 4.9 to finally fix things. Unfortunately, it didn't.
Also tried undervolting as mentioned above - no luck.

Though, I believe, I've managed to track down the issue, that is causing those freezes. It's PCI randomly turning off. The OC is still running, but disk, ehternet or USB (it's king of random) becomes unavailable.
This only ever happened on low system load, which makes me think it's related to ASPM powering off PCI.

Is there a way to turn off powersaving in BIOS?

I wanted to share my experience with the ASRock AB350M Pro4's freezing. I currently have this board with: R5 2400G, Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3200 Memory, MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB Video Card and SeaSonic - S12II 620W Power Supply.

I built the computer with this board around late April 2018 without the video card installed, with XMP enabled and the processor and Vega 11 at stock settings (auto for voltages and clocks). The BIOS was version 4.50. Everything was fine until the first freeze occurred in the beginning of June 2018 during light internet browsing.

It was similar to others' experiences, with the screen freezing and the peripherals becoming unresponsive. I waited a few minutes for the screen to unfreeze but it didn't, so I had to restart. I looked for a solution, found this forum, but also saw one Newegg review that suggested undervolting + overclocking the processor. So I did that, changing CPU settings to 1.35V and 3800MHz. I also changed the voltage and clock settings of the Vega 11 integrated graphics. I did not experience another freeze until the day after I installed the 1060 6GB in the beginning of this month, 07/18. Note, I did not change the BIOS settings from 1.35v/ 3800MHz / whatever GPU settings I had before installing the 1060.

The second freeze occurred when I was AFK with background tasks running. I looked in Windows 10 event viewer this time and found nothing occurring around the time of the freeze. I thought more freezes would occur, but I have not had another freeze with the 1060 installed. I had two freezes total. If freezes continue to occur, I'll update. But what I discovered in the BIOS was that after installing the 1060, the CPU settings went back to stock (auto), and the ram was running at stock 2133 MHz. I believe the settings went back to stock because I installed the 1060 while the integrated GPU still had its settings changed in the BIOS.

To be careful, I decided to upgrade bios to 4.73b as the user johntamemail1 suggested earlier. Then I again undervolted/ overclocked the CPU, with settings currently 1.325V / 3700 MHz CPU/ 3200MHz ram / stock 1060 6GB. Again, I have not had a freeze since undervolting / overclocking the CPU. I believe that having the CPU at stock (auto) settings results in these freezes, and that undervolting the CPU can prevent freezes. The v4.73b BIOS could also be more stable than v4.50.

It would be great if this kept on working, and if these settings also worked for others. Thanks for reading.
Edit: the Newegg review where the idea came from

Hi

New guy here, been an AMD fan since K6 days. I just installed the AB350M Pro4 board, Ryzen 3 2200G APU and 2 4 GB. Patriot Signature DDR4-2400 DIMMs. BIOS is 4.70. So far so good, no hanging or rebooting. I do have one non-standard feature which may or may not have a bearing. I use Ubuntu 98% of the time, I have Windows 10 for one piece of hardware. Ubuntu 18.04 (kernel 4.15.x) isn't yet friends with Vega graphics so I installed an AMD card I had around, AMD HD 8490 I think.  I don't know if the discrete graphics card helps with the boot issue or not but this build has been surprisingly good. I'm also using a 3rd party boot manager, BootIt NG but I doubt that has a bearing.

I do know that using onboard graphics and linux, I get a light on the monitor that looks like there's a signal there but a black screen. The integral GPU does work with Windows 10, it does boot  but I only used that for a few minutes so no idea of stability long term with Windows..

Edit: One other possibly relevant fact: The case has no sides and sits in a cabinet with about .5 square meters of air space and partly open front so it doesn't get very warm.

Hi!
I've send mine mobo in for warranty repair (I couldn't return it), and i got new back.
So far no issues with freezing and rebooting (3days), but there was no problem for 3 months initially.
I've done no changes in BIOS (4.50)

I'm in the same boat, just built an AB350m machine and getting constant reboot's even at stock. Tried everything...

Funny thing is that Amazon warehouse has about 40+ of these boards 'open box' I suspect a lot of people are sending them back as they are junk. I won't be buying Asrock again.

Does anyone know if the AB350 Pro 4 has any of these issues?

PD: (I mean the ATX one)

Accidentally discovered that removing cover increases stability. Suspect overheating.

BTW. Onboard BIOS is P3.00, updated to [Beta] 4.82
