Please guys, if you are not upgrading to Ryzen 3000 DO NOT UPDATE your BIOS at this early stage. In a few months all these teething issues should be resolved and you can try out the latest BIOS version if that is of interest to you. Generally speaking, if your system is working as intended and you do not have issues with the BIOS then don't update. Ryzen in particular is a fickle beast that is prone to issues from one BIOS version to the next.

Most of the changes in the new updates are explicitly to add Ryzen 3000 support and will have absolutely no benefit to first and second gen Ryzen systems.

This advice will likely apply for all future Ryzen launches and even to intel systems when a new CPU range is launched on an existing socket.

I noticed through the years that this is a common issue coming back every time.
Of course it's good to warn people everywhere that different CPU's on the same board require different builds, how why Asrock throws them all in one list is something of discussion too.

Just having 3-4 tabs under BIOS to direct the customer to the correct CPU used might solve this like day and night.

After coming from 2.0 to 2.3 I started have WHEA-Logger related system crashes, further details led to believe it had something to do with the system having an error checking the bluetooth device.
It was crashing with and without drivers installed. Active use would aggravate the system to crashing as I was able to leave it on for hours without it crashing; but as soon as I started opening up and used different apps it would crash again and again.
Then yesterday I found out they released a new update (2.6). I prayed it would fix my problem and that it wouldn't crash itself during a flash update.
Lo and behold, I'm typing to you on my laptop next to my brick, awaiting ASrock's reply.

I am writing here, because BIOSes used to come awfully slowly for to the Fatal1ty X470 Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard and soon the new AMD Vermeer / Ryzen 5000 series will arrive, they will be introduced on 8th of October. Asrock please make the new bios available for the new processors in time, because soon as possible to buy them, I?™d like to use them.

Finally got the AGESA 1.0.0.6 bios 6.00 for the X370 Gaming K4, and X370 Killer SLI.
Let's see how we make out.
Paired with Ryzen 1700 on the Gaming K4 & Ryzen 1600 on the Killer SLI.
I know, I know, it says not to use on rigs with older CPUs, but I'd already updated and couldn't go back, so just kept on keeping.
Fingers crossed.

Is the 4.2 BIOS stable on a x470 master to run a 3700x at stock? I currently have the BIOS ver 1.9 with a 2700x running on PBO with CL14 3200 memory tuned with tight timings 0 issues. Wondering if the upgrade was worth, since i have a friend who wants to get rid of his 3700x for cheap

I don't own the x470 Master SLI anymore .. but you'll get better performance out of a 3700x over your 2700x .. you can raise the fclk and you'd want to bump up the speed to 3600 CAS16'ish and go from there .. and run your fclk (infinity fabric) to match (1800) .. if it's a decent memory controller on your friends 3700x, go for 3800 CAS16 w/fclk 1900
