I'm in the process of building my new PC, and I want to clarify how the M.2 (M2_1) and (M2_2) sockets work/interact with the PCIE slots and the SATA slots.
As I read the manual, If I use the M.2 (M2_1) socket then my PCIE 4 is disabled; and if I use the M.2 (M2_2) socket then my PCIE 5 is disabled. Do any of my SATA ports get disabled if I use the M2_1 or M2_2 sockets? Thank you, Jeffrey |

All of your SATA ports should run just as fine, even if you use both M.2 slots.
I believe M2_2 accepts only SATA SSD, though. Only the first one 'eats' NVMe ones. |

That's terrific. Thanks for letting me know. I've read that on some other AsRock Mobo's some of the SATA ports share the M.2 sockets so I wanted to avoid the headache of "musical chairs"
