Hello there
Recently I built a ryzen pc and no matter what I do I cannot get audio from the motherboard (rear jack or front panel) I only get audio through hdmi. I've installed the realtek drivers from asrock multiple times and have reinstalled windows 10 multiple times too. I'd be extremely grateful if anybody can help me because I really don't have the budget to buy a decent sound card. My pc Mb: asrock x370 killer sli Cpu: ryzen 5 1600x Gpu: sapphire 590 nitro+ Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 2666mhz ram |

First, you may want yo check if your BIOS options are not set for AC'97/legacy instead of HD Audio.
Then you can flash the lates BIOS (could be a beta too). Clear CMOS a few times for a good measure. Check the mobo for blown audio caps, bending or short circuits (both to case and between vias & traces). You may also want to try some LiveCD Linux distro, just to see if Linux can outpit the audio. |

I've checked the bios for anything funky and everything's normal.
I'm on the latest bios and cleared cmos There's no physical damage to any component on the mono I'll check linux soon Do you have any other ideas? |

Well, at this point it's pretty clear for me. I think you need a new mobo or an external sound card, because the on-board one is kaput. That or you have a bad audio cable/speakers/headset.
