6.32 was the first version to add XT support it might worth trying rather than 6.40. |

My X370 Taichi with 3700X (BIOS 6.20) went into a BIOS boot loop after I carried out a CMOS RESET. Booting without RAM and swapping modules around did not resolve the issue.
I replaced the 3700X with an 1800X which allowed the system to boot. I then downgraded BIOS 6.20 to 5.80 and re-installed the 3700X. Since then, the issue appears to be resolved. It was EASY to reproduce the BIOS loop issue on boot once again AFTER updating the BIOS to 6.20. If I cleared the CMOS using the external button on the X370 Taichi I/O panel the BIOS loop issue would return. For me I am staying away from BIOS 6.20 Here is the Reddit Thread I found this in.. https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/g77sk5/3600x_x370_taichi_boot_loop/ Hope it helps |

Will there bios with Ryzen XT support for AB350 PRO4? I see that the M version of the same board already has support for XT cpu's, so I don't understand why the full ATX board haven't got it yet? Most of the asrock boards got the bios update.

I purchased a Ryzen 3600XT seeing as there was a special on at my local, to go into my x370 Taichi.
There is a 6.40 bios out that states it adds XT support, and I flashed than prior to installing the new cpu - however now with the 3600XT installed it doesn't even want to POST. The LEDs come on after pushing power button, but cpu fan doesn't spin and it just appears to reset itself continuously. Switching back to a 1700X works fine. Has anyone got any XT processors running on an x370 based board (taichi specifically) ?? |

yes I am aware of AMD directions with chipset and CPUs compatibility, but I also read they let the MB vendors to adjust where needed so Zen+ products could be used on X570/B550 boards.
Its not a big deal because my new 3500X is really a beast so I am not going to swap anytime soon but I was curious what other Asrock MB users experience is with Zen+ on this Steel Legend particular board |

The key consideration with B550 is that, while AMD has confirmed the chipset will support future Zen 3 processors, these boards won't support Ryzen 2000 and earlier processors, or Ryzen 3000 APUs like the Ryzen 5 3400G--at least at launch.
I'm not sure i can post an article link here https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-b550-motherboards |

No, they guy the has the R7 3700x and a ASRock fatal1ty ab350 gaming k4 that got it to run smoothly. I had a soft restart happen to me, then a post bootloop. Clock ran 2 mins behind, hasn't happened since, torture tests, playing very demanding games for hours, can get it to happen again. Starting to think It was a one time thing or something, that had to do with my bios update.

@Garvey64
Question directed to me? About the 3500X or the 2600? If thats about the 3500X, I have no problem in benchmarks like Aida 64 or Cinebench R20 (3000pts Multi core, 509 Single core so not bad), nor in Games even CPU intense ones. 4.4Ghz @1.25V is what I am running now and I think I can undervolt slightly further. I have not tried to go for 4.5Ghz but that might be achievable with some more tuning (LLC for example) Not a Top Gold chip but not too bad for the $130 I paid for it. If your question is about the 2600, it just doesnt post at all.I might try to downgrade BIOS version to 1.0, that is maybe the issue but looking at how the 3500X runs I am not too much bothered. |
