Will Asrock be adding support for the Ryzen 5000 CPU's to x470 and B450 BIOS? I just saw MSI announce today that they will be supporting all of their X470 and B450 boards. I would not be pleased if Asrock doesn't follow MSI's lead in supporting the new CPUs. Personally I don't see any huge value in the hardware support of the X570 and B550 over the predecessors from a performance perspective in my particular situation (work software dev't + moderate gaming).

Sounds like its running normal. You're fan settings got changed when you updated bios and just need to adjust the settings in bios. It's normal for the CPU to get boosted when things are running cool. When idle in Windows its not exactly idle with windows apps running in the background at all times.

Hello there, 2 month ago i bought asrock b550m steel legende mb + ryzen 5 3600. Until yesterday i had no any problem when i get to update bios. After updating bios from 1.00 to v1.2 cpu always using turbo boost on balanced mode, before it was idle like 1.5-1.8ghz maybe even even less i dont remember correctly. Now all the time it is 3.7-4.11ghz in idle no any activities 1% cpu usage. Because i get info cpu temp goes high 50+ and fan makes noise. When i use power save mode i get 2.19 clocked cpu and not down or up. Any help would be appreciated.

Why is there still no bios with Ryzen XT support on AB350 Pro4, but the AB350M Pro4 already have it? Those are basically the same boards, except the first one is Full ATX and the other is not.

6.32 was the first version to add XT support it might worth trying rather than 6.40.

My X370 Taichi with 3700X (BIOS 6.20) went into a BIOS boot loop after I carried out a CMOS RESET. Booting without RAM and swapping modules around did not resolve the issue.

I replaced the 3700X with an 1800X which allowed the system to boot. I then downgraded BIOS 6.20 to 5.80 and re-installed the 3700X. Since then, the issue appears to be resolved.

It was EASY to reproduce the BIOS loop issue on boot once again AFTER updating the BIOS to 6.20. If I cleared the CMOS using the external button on the X370 Taichi I/O panel the BIOS loop issue would return.

For me I am staying away from BIOS 6.20

Here is the Reddit Thread I found this in..

Hope it helps

Has anyone got any XT processors running on an x370 based board (taichi specifically) ??

Will there bios with Ryzen XT support for AB350 PRO4? I see that the M version of the same board already has support for XT cpu's, so I don't understand why the full ATX board haven't got it yet? Most of the asrock boards got the bios update.

I purchased a Ryzen 3600XT seeing as there was a special on at my local, to go into my x370 Taichi.

There is a 6.40 bios out that states it adds XT support, and I flashed than prior to installing the new cpu - however now with the 3600XT installed it doesn't even want to POST. The LEDs come on after pushing power button, but cpu fan doesn't spin and it just appears to reset itself continuously. Switching back to a 1700X works fine.

yes I am aware of AMD directions with chipset and CPUs compatibility, but I also read they let the MB vendors to adjust where needed so Zen+ products could be used on X570/B550 boards.

Its not a big deal because my new 3500X is really a beast so I am not going to swap anytime soon but I was curious what other Asrock MB users experience is with Zen+ on this Steel Legend particular board
3500X 4.4Ghz at 1.25V B550M Steel legend; 16GB CORSAIR LPX-3200 C16 running at 3333Mhz; 248GB NVME; VEGA 64 LC GPU OC 1700Mhz core 1150Mhz VRAM
