@Garvey64
Question directed to me? About the 3500X or the 2600? If thats about the 3500X, I have no problem in benchmarks like Aida 64 or Cinebench R20 (3000pts Multi core, 509 Single core so not bad), nor in Games even CPU intense ones. 4.4Ghz @1.25V is what I am running now and I think I can undervolt slightly further. I have not tried to go for 4.5Ghz but that might be achievable with some more tuning (LLC for example) Not a Top Gold chip but not too bad for the $130 I paid for it. If your question is about the 2600, it just doesnt post at all.I might try to downgrade BIOS version to 1.0, that is maybe the issue but looking at how the 3500X runs I am not too much bothered. |

I am now mainly running a Zen2 3500X CPU on my PC but got a 2600 CPU as spare to play with and tried it today on my B550M steel legend board with BIOS 1.2(latest on asrock homepage)
But after powering up the PC, the case Fans go to the roof and it doesnt post, black screen nothing.I thought that Zen+ was supposed to be supported on B550 board.Can someone confirm how to fix that? |

Looking for X470 Master SLI/ac BIOS updates and noticed the page is removed. Is this board not supported anymore?

Will the X570 boards (specifically the phantom gaming 4) support the latest Ryzen PRO CPUs? The PRO CPUs are the only ones that support memory encryption (except for the EPYC CPUs).
Thanks! |

hi everyone, I experience carshes in games (flight simulator, world of tanks) and would like to know where it can come from.
MB : B450 M pro4 CPU ryzen 5 3600 GPU sapphire rx 580 maybe from RAM ? 1 slot DDR4 4Go 3200, 1 slot DDR4 4Go 2133 (both set by bios at 2133 automatically) Just flashed bios (4.30) but no result. No other issue seen for the moment. Thanks for your help. |

I have the same problem as above with The B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax and cannot find the setting for undervolting with an negative offset too.

If you want to reduce heat. I don't think you will get a good difference by undervolting. Without changing your cooler or cooler settings. I'd try "ECO Mode" which will reduce the "PPT" (maximum power draw by CPU). If this is still not enough, (CPU is still hot to your liking). Then you can try enabling PBO and setting a custom PPT, lower than ECO Mode PPT. Note1: by reducing PPT you might reduce performance. But maybe it won't impact you at all. So run FPS tests before and after doing this. If the difference is very little (1%-3% less performance), then you should be happier. Note2: Best solution would be to install an aftermarket CPU Cooler with bigger heatsink and 120mm or 140mm FAN. Note3: I don't know about 3600XT max temp. But the max temp of 3600 and 3600X is 95ºC. So as long as you operate below 95ºC you should be fine. And this is a high number, unless you enable PBO with a very high PPT. |
